Updated: Plenty of new cast members for The Walking Dead!
With AMC already in production on their 6-epsiode first season of The Walking Dead, casting announcements are finally leaking out.
Variety reports that Emma Bell (Frozen) has joined the cast as "a college student who seeks safety with the remaining survivors after the zombie invasion." The character is likely Amy, the younger sister of Andrea. Laurie Holden was previously announced to plan Andrea.
Linds Edwards (Seed) and Jim Coleman (American Gangster) will play new character Leon Basset Lambert (Lam) Kendel, respectively, according to Bloody-Disgusting.
Update: Iae Magazine reports that IronE Singleton (The Blind Side) will play another character in I-Dog,
The actors will join Andrew Lincoln as protagonist Rick Grimes, Chandler Riggs as Carl Grimes, Sarah Wayne Callies as Lori Grimes, Jon Bernthal as Rick's partner Shane, Michael Rooker as new character Merle, Jeffrey DeMunn as Dale, and Steven Yeun as Glenn.

According to The Walking Dead Podcast (via Bloody Disgusting), Linds Edwards and Jim Coleman are the latest actors to sign on to appear in "The Walking Dead." During an interview with Edwards, he revealed that Coleman will portray a new character named Lambert Kendel while Edwards (pictured) will play another new character, Leon Bassett.
It's worth noting that AMC subsequently asked that the podcast in question be removed.
As an actor, Edwards is relatively unknown, having appeared in "Seed," "In a Blink" and "A Rats Tale." However, Coleman has an extensive resume of roles, including "American Gangster," "Burn Notice," "ER," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "Sheena."
