I found this film in a collection of Iris Prize "Queer" shorts, some of which were acceptable and others somewhat out there.
In this film, it was assumed that the lead character was gay because they liked ballet, much like 'Billy Elliot' did, but no one bothered to ask him and I'm not sure that, without that clarity, this film should be classed as Queer for the same reasons that kids shouldn't be called gay or lesbian until they decide to come out themselves, if at all. The world needs to stop judging and assuming things about people and instead get to know them first.
It's really hard to fill a review for a short film with 600 characters as required by IMDB, 300 would be pushing it.
