Enjoyable though laughable.

It's good, enjoyable and reasonably well crafted. Ultimately though, it's ruined ever so slightly. This is down to the sheer fact that everyone in the new 'merged' family has lost significant intelligence and is unable to see through their fathers deception.

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 9: Why am I endeavoring to write these when somehow and strangely it won't be accounted and "recorded" as my review of the episode?!

Something ugly happening with this season's reviews. My reviews...

What happened in the episode should have happened 4 episodes ago. The plots complete banana and inconsistent, the acting roller-coaster good and the ending thrillingly eye-candy, still not satisfying by a long shot.

Wish he transforms into pure energy and takes a heavy revenge on the mischievous and deceitful "father".

The Usual

It's difficult to follow saving the world twice with anything that resembles sanity or normality, especially with an artistic reality that has NOTHING to do with actual reality. Then again, The Umbrella Academy reveals, mirrors, or captures reality in ways that most of us rarely get a glimpse of. What struck me most with the reviews I've read so far is that these people have forgotten that we are the puppets, even more so than the characters, of the puppeteer writers, creators, and collaborators of this series. The season is plotted with an outline from beginning to the end, and all the development in between is created to lead us there. Is there illogic? Yes. Is there conflict? Yes. Is there resolution? Not completely. Otherwise where would we find a cliff to hang from waiting for next season?

Shady double deals and some seriously heartbreaking moments, like why am I in my feels? This storyline kind of sucks though, cheers to the end anyway.

One episode left and my guess is I will have to wait for the years to pass for Episode 4 to appear. Even then I doubt it will be fulfilling. This whole thing is so obtuse because the characters are so utterly out of touch with the realities. Let's face it. The old man does have control of everything and they have none. They can be clever, take chances, have votes, but he is the spark and they are just pawns in his game. All the angst and despair is meaningless because they are us. They have their powers, but their lives are ruled by emotions and the choices of normal people. I am going to watch the last one now. When the new season does appear, I'll hopefully notice that it is happening.

I dont think i have ever seen something as incoherent as this series

I cant even begin to list the inconsistencies of the third season. Basically all characters dont follow any logic in their decisions and their behavior. Everything is extremely illogical and forced, unfortunately. I dont know what happened this season, this used to be a great show.

What in Sam Hill?

Warning: Spoilers
The world is ending in 12hrs They are faced with death or risking their lives to fight some guardian and save the world...

After taking 1hr recess to decide which is the best option, They decide fighting the guardian is too dangerous... deciding the best option is doing nothing...

So in doing nothing choose death (allegedly better than option a) And are then upset when one of them dies.

It's a gapping plot hole that's only there to drag the story out a further hour.

Idiotic behaviour

Warning: Spoilers
Imagine you're faced with a choice, option number 1 is certain failure and requires you to do nothing, the 2nd requires you do something extremely dangerous. If you succeed number 2, you might save the entire universe. However the first choice will no matter what lead to the end of everything.

No don't need to be very intelligent to realize only really second option can save your life, therefore going with option 1 is only acceptable, if you have already concluded yourself dead.

Now several characters, Viktor, Diego, Sloane and Luther all wants to live, however they still go with option number 1, as option number 2 requires you to risk your life. Yup, realize how stupid this sounds, as everyone would consider doing nothing and dying to also be a dangerous act.

The only person who can actually be excused from this stupidity is Fives, given his future self told him not to attempt any saving of the universe (bear in mind, he already did past this revelation, but it suddenly "matters").

Other than this, the episode is fine, it's just a hard pill to swallow, that the "saviours" of the universe is sub 60 IQ.
