Strong premise, pretty good execution

What an excellent idea to explore a pacifist point of view in the Star Wars universe. But the Lumen Chief's position is so extreme that it ultimately turns into a straw man argument, and it becomes easy to dismiss his point of view as head-in-the-sand, suicidal stupidity. It would be interesting to see a stronger war critique explored as the series goes on.

Defenders of Peace

The Lurmen are definitely interesting characters, and I think that the exploration of their views was better executed in the first of the two episodes, as the chief of the village just came across as a grumpy old man, and not like the pacifist that was introduced in the last episode. However, the episode features some great action sequences, as the show seems to have given that a little boost. The antagonist of the episode is another big Trade Federation dummy and he went down as one too. I think this arc was a good and different idea that they probably should have taken a little further. Nevertheless, the overall development of the show was still there, and it gave us a real hint of what these big planetary battles will look like further down the line.

Force for Peace

This is a 2nd part to a storyline begun in the previous episode and is a fun adventure with some serious themes of war and peace.

Separatists arrive on the planet where Anakin, Ahsoka and Aayla Secura are hiding with a small group of clones after a crash. The pacifist natives do not want to engage in any defence or violence but the separatists want to test deadly weapons on them causing the Jedi to intercede against the will of the native leader.

I like the theme of pacifism and how it is presented and I also like the action which is very enjoyable.

The separatist leader is voiced beautifully by George Takei of Star Trek and social media fame and the Jedi are entertaining and thoughtful.

My rating: 8.5/10.

No killing code makes no sense

The main lurman or whatever keeps saying he'd rather die than kill somebody. However the droids are not living things so there's no reason why he wouldn't defend himself... no one died in the battle so I also don't understand the ending when he says "but at what cost" no cost... only money for the separatists because the droids are quite expensive...
