The final episode of Oppenheimer deals with the 1954 Security hearings conducted by the United States Atomic Energy Commission over four weeks.

Oppenheimer was very much a victim of hysteria, a precursor to McCarthyism. He finds himself defending past associations as well as his decisions on the Manhattan Project.

According to Oppenheimer, the coup de grace was delivered by his rival Edward Teller. He blamed himself for not stroking Teller's vanity.

In the end Oppenheimer discovered that the scientists who developed the nuclear weapons. Could not dictate to their government how those weapons are used or even question the morality of it.

Unfortunately as a drama, this was not the most riveting episode. The security hearing aspect was dry and the blame belongs to the writing.

In the end history may judge Oppenheimer kinder. There have been an award winning television drama, Oscar winning documentary, a flop movie and a hit movie on Oppenheimer. Edward Teller's not had similar treatment.
