Lucy nearly destroys her kitchen trying to win a radio contest, and when she does win she does the same to the studio.
Episodes where Lucy is needlessly destructive are never that funny and this one takes a very long time getting to the radio station setting. The kitchen scene drags on endlessly with Viv getting soaked. Too bad she didn't have something better to play in her last episode as a regular.
Pat Harrington plays the DJ but he doesn't have much to do and doesn't get to display his comedic chops like on ONE DAY AT A TIME.
The episode is full of too many cheap sight gags and lacks logic. Lucy does her best in the final scene where it's just her and a room full of props but it doesn't really gel. And the writers should have known by now - fire isn't funny!
Only worth watching for one good Dean Martin joke that Lucy makes, for the scene where she wins the contest tie-breaker by besting Mr. Mooney at tongue twisters, and because it's Viv's last episode.
