Great episode!!

Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed this episode! Everyone got plenty of screen time except a little more Chester would be nice. It was awesome to see Frost with super speed and that scene was handled very well. The Eva twist was also interesting and set up her character well for episode 3 which was supposed to be the Season 6 finale. I am curious to see what they'll do with the twist at the end and I am really excited for next weeks episode!! And of course Grant Gustin was great in this episode like always!

Frost is back ! We get treated to an epic battle.
robfollower10 March 2021
This was an epically entertaining episode ! Every single character on the series is worthy of screen-time and interesting, complex story-lines. It's amazing to see most of them get the attention they deserve as we're two episodes into the season.

How cool was it to see Frost gain super-speed and face off against the Flash?

Just glad to see Frost back and better than ever.

It was mesmerizing to see the two of them zip through the city. Hopefully, we get to witness more extraordinary and shocking battles as the season goes on. The Flash is my guilty Pleasure. 9/10

FLASH IS BACK WOOHOO
lukewharris-1333510 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Ok first of all. THIS SHOW IS AWESOME! We got so many great moments this week, including:
  • Killer Frost as a Speedster!
  • Harrison Wells RETURNS!
  • Team Flash vs Barry
The action was on-point, everything about this episode worked!

Would have loved to see more Joe though, and what about Chester??? However, I really loved the focus on Allegra, Cisco and Barry, it really worked because there weren't so many people. And of course, THEY FINALLY FOCUSED ON BARRY! It's called The Flash for a reason, and I think Eric Wallace is realizing how important that is.

SO GOOD
bournevier-663-40688710 March 2021
The show hasn't been good for quite a long time. Last week I was literally thinking "they should hire new writers".

When I saw the review and people praised this episode, I thought "It can't be that good." But I was wrong! This episode was indeed that good! My interest in this show is back! I hope they can keep it up tho.

So Nash Wells died for nothing I guess?
demigodshmurda12 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Don't let my review title fool you. I enjoyed this episode. I just have trouble seeing it as the ten out of ten that I see with a lot of other reviews.

It was fun seeing Barry act like DeVoe for an episode, even if I hated that character in season four. With Barry thinking more "logically" about how to beat Eva, we get plenty of really cool moments in this episode. A few examples being the ball of kinetic energy and how he was able to call out all the things it bounced off of, him exposing Eva's identity to the world, and him bringing out all the whiteboards. Of course, Barry turning "evil" more or less isn't exactly how I thought the episode would go, but I did enjoy the episode for what it was. This was an experiment. The writers decided to play things a little riskier and try something new, and I want to say that it payed off.

That being said, the episode isn't without its problems. I am still not on board with what they're doing to Eva. The writers built up Eva as a jaded cynic that believes her husband abandoned her. Now of course, none of that justified what she was doing, and certainly didn't justify murder, but the writers did a good job of building her up and portraying her as exactly what she was built up to be. This season's taken a massive crap on her for no reason. Come on, writers. You had something good going. Why ruin that with the pointless twist of "she's not even a real person"? All that really succeeded in was making your audience feel betrayed.

That all being said, at least they did something with that pointless twist this episode. "Thinker Barry" as I'm going to call him, exposed Eva's identity to the world. Everyone knows who she is now, and she can't hide anymore. This isn't her world... But maybe it can be. And thus, this layered and well built up villain has finally gone full mustache twirler and has officially launched a plan to take over the world. I'm yawning. Didn't Central City just deal with an army of people being taken over by a supervillain with Bloodwork not even a full season ago? At least Bloodwork was doing it to prevent people from ever dying again. At least he was doing it for a good reason. Yeah, what those people became wasn't really living, but it's a lot better than what this new version of Eva is doing. All I'm getting from her new plan is that she's become a fully generic villain, and I'm bored now.

Cisco and Caitlin are back in this episode, and I still don't like that Cisco wasn't there when "Crisis on Infinite Wells" died in the last episode. It's not even acknowledged here that Cisco wasn't there though. I already mentioned how important the Cisco/Wells relationship is in my review of last episode, and how he should've been there, and the fact that the episode doesn't acknowledge it is a little pathetic. Again, this was a good episode, but Cisco should've felt a little worse about not being there for Nash, especially since he made a big deal about how all the other Wells were in Nash's head. Cisco should've acknowledged Nash's death a little more past "My friend is dead. My girlfriend is stuck in another dimension."

Also, Caitlin/Frost with super speed via Velocity X. I have a few nitpicks. Nothing that impacts the episode is a huge way, just a few things I noticed. First off, Frost's ice powers shouldn't also be moving at super speed, should they? Also, when did she learn to throw lightning? Didn't it take Barry an entire episode to learn to properly do that? Again, nothing that impacts the episode in any big way. Just a few nitpicks. I actually thought the fact that Frost's lightning was blue was super sick, as well as being in line with the way the Velocity drug works in this show. Velocity 9, or Velocity X in this case, turns a speedster's lightning blue. Plus, the color contrasted with her suit in a nice way. Great work, with the exception of a few nitpicks.

And then we get to Barry throwing lightning at the Artificial Speed Force. I'm sorry, all I could think about in this moment was that Nash died for nothing. Nash died so that the Artificial Speed Force would work, and Barry just goes and destroys it after not even a whole episode of it working again? This was my biggest problem with the episode. With the exception of a few nitpicks, I was enjoying the episode so far. But the writers just couldn't help themselves, could they? I really have to ask what the point of Nash and the other Wells sacrificing themselves was if Barry was just gonna destroy the ASF anyway?

And one final note on the episode, the ending scene. For starters, a simple "Twenty One years ago" would've sufficed instead of this "Once upon a time" thing that we got instead. Looks like we're getting the original Harrison Wells back, and... Okay, I honestly didn't see that coming. I mean, it still doesn't excuse the death of "Crisis on Infinite Wells", but at least this means that they're not just gonna have Tom Cavanagh just play the Reverse Flash again. Only thing I have a problem with here is how they're gonna explain how OG Wells is even alive, and where he's been for the past twenty one years. This does bring up a potential problem I talked about in my previous review about the writers having to keep coming up with new and increasing complicated reasons that Thawne keeps coming back, but with OG Wells instead. Also, why choose this episode to make this reveal? Just doesn't really fit well with the episode as a whole.

Couldn't decide if I wanted to give this one a six or a seven, so I'll go with seven for now and give myself a few days to contemplate my rating. I think the episode was solid in general, but could've been better if they had just changed a few things.

If I could make one final point, this doesn't really work as a second episode of the season. I understand this was probably originally gonna be episode twenty one of the previous season, but as the second episode of season 7, it just doesn't work. Still a good episode despite that, it just brings about a bit of a jarring transition as the second episode.

Haven't rated a Flash episode so high in a while
ldamena10 March 2021
I actually thought this was a very good episode. Emotionless Barry, well I always see him as cold and selfish so I though that it was a good idea to show him this way, that to me it's true to who Barry is. Even, if they'll use the artificial speed force as an excuse so he doesn't have to deal with the consequences to his actions AGAIN. Still, it showed why he's my least favorite Arrowverse hero in this episode: always a plus.

The emotion was also spot on this ep. Especially the last Barry/Iris scene. That shocked me. I'll admit that this season is shaping up to be better than the last. Let's see where it goes.

Flash is Back to full glory
tomcode12 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode felt like an episode from season 1-3 ( the prime of the show). Also loved Barry Portraying Devoe style of Character. Speed thinking is a great ability and emotional less Barry is kinda badass. The Fight between frost and Flash was awesome and they Barry defeated his team without trying makes him look so powerful compared to seasons 1-3. Earth 1 Wells returning Can't wait to see what they do with his character rate this episode a 9.4/10 great episode can't wait for more

THE BEST THE FLASH HAS BEEN IN YEARS

Warning: Spoilers
This episode blew my expectations out of the water. I went in thinking it was gonna be another cliched episode where Barry learns a new power but BOY WAS I WRONG. This episode evoked heavy feelings of the early days of the show. The conflict is very interesting and the dialogue is amazing. The only bad thing was undoing Nash's sacrifice.

Overall this will go down as one of my favorite episodes of the show.

I am enjoying this episodes far more then previous season, season 6 was way better than fifth season (my least favourite) but those 2 episodes in season 7 are crazy! Only thing to say, CW please invest more money to CGI 😉
