World Cup fever

A great episode and a fun reference to the time period with the World Cup. The storylines were well developed and flowed easily back and forth. Lovely heartfelt moments as always.

Nice, but a tad predictable

Warning: Spoilers
Last week mental health, this week sexuality - this show certainly is clever in the way it covers issues in the 1960's that still are relevant today.

The Trixie storyline feels a bit signposted in terms of the direction it's heading, and if anything she's become a bit like Bellamy in 'Heartbeat' - surrounded by a revolving door of endless new recruits and perhaps a bit forgotten in the process.

Lots of nice moments here, and wasn't it a joy to not hear that Nonnatus House might be shut down for a change?!

As ever Judy Parffit steals the episode.

Suffer from Dry Eyes?

Warning: Spoilers
I think there's a medical condition that causes ones eyes to be dry. "Call the Midwife" is a treatment for this. This episode, in particular, was one of many that was good for that, from the kid's parents reaching out to him to Cyril's gift to Lucille.
