This show was originally supposed to be broadcast live on New Year's Eve, as is the tradition for the Dutch "oudejaarsconference" (New Year's Eve cabaret show). However, Van 't Hek decided to cancel the live show after finding out that many tickets had been bought by a company who resold them for a much higher price. Instead, an earlier record was broadcast, in which Van 't Hek even made a joke about the cancellation.
