I liked this strange little short film, even though its characters and plot were very strange indeed! In fact, it's the quirkiness that really attracted me.
The film begins with a poor schmuck in the park--sad because he bombed a job interview. He sits down on a bench and soon a very large prostitute sits next to him. While he isn't the least bit interested in sex, he does want to talk and the lady devotes much of her day to listening and giving the guy advice. Along the way, they pick up a hot dog vendor and the three of them traipse around the park doing nothing in particular--just enjoying the day. Despite sounding dull, the film was anything but and I loved the hot dog guy.
By the way, in many ways this short is like the portion near the beginning of the movie THE PRODUCERS where Max takes his accountant, Leo, to the park. In fact, I even wonder if this inspired A WALK IN THE PARK--the parallels are many.
Overall, the film showed a great touch as far as directing, writing and acting go. In particular, I think Erica Bradshaw did a great job playing the lady.
