HONESTY IS MOTHER OF TRUST
cyberjahabraham1 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I love the naturalness and love.

Siri took a deep plunge into trying something new and David had to live everyday feeling guilty. She made him feel guilty for her own actions.

Feeling cheated and unloved she had to still take another step deeper, trying something else that could end the beautiful 7 years of love between her and the love of her life.

Siri should have come clean before David. They would have talked about it; her insecurities, doubts and all and they would have fixed it.

It happens once in a while in relationships.

When you cheat and lie about it and even swear?? Hmmm... It breaks the trust so bad, you'd just have to kiss the relationship goodbye.

David will have to play the same game she's playing so that she fully gets how it feels to love someone and end up being played.

She loves him, Yes! But i guess she ain't satisfied with normal love, she wants something flashy and eccentric.

But it ain't always greener on the other side.

Hope there comes a season 2!

It's fun I guess!!

Warning: Spoilers
The title and the premise gave an idea of a polyamorous relationship in the works.. but boy did it go down hill super fast. I loved Siri and David's Relationship the minute they came on to my screen and they had a threesome with Camille which by the way was Siri's Idea and then she spent the entire series blaming David for the encounter while having a whole ass relationship with someone she met on "tinder" . A 20something couple who were probably each other's first deciding to open up their relationship or even becoming a throuple, that's something I would rather watch than this sinking ship I just saw.

But you should totally watch it and form your opinions!!

Downward spiral
viiviismyname18 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I watched the 1st season. And I really did hope there isn't another one coming - but apparently there is.

I kinda did enjoy the series to be fair. I binged it in two days.

Actors are amazing. Filming is beautiful. And this one really made me feel things - like, I cried! But while crying I couldn't help but also be super annoyed . This was just a constant downhill. No hope for Siri and David.

The couple's situation was only getting worse and worse. The first season didn't have a happy ending, but I really hope it did. Another 8 episodes of this same downward spiral in season 2?! That's a no for me, why would I put myself through that?!

It just felt too real...
3m688231 August 2021
Wow I love how raw the plot is and the way the actors were able to evoke the emotions of hurt and regret as the plot thickens. It just felt too real, like I'm watching a real couple go through this rough situation in their relationship. Though it has an open ending, which I like, I still want to see how the story goes if ever there will be a season 2! Overall a great watch!!

Interesting concept
eddie_weinbauer-490126 September 2021
The whole things start with the main couple going to a bar. Than meeting up with someone, and from there going to party. As the night progress, the Girl Siri instigate a threesome. Her boyfriend While quite reluctant about it, he ends up going along with the idea.

Than the morning after his girlfriend Siri, has sobered up and feels jealous and insecure about he whole ordeal.

It's here the real drama of the series start.

Chemistry between the two actors who play Siri & David Doesn't really feel real. They come off a bit too much, as an onscreen couple. Fore someone who's been together 7 years I expect more natural chemistry. More floating dialogue and movement. Everything seem so directed, and scripted.

It often lacks the chemistry people who've been together, for a long time have . Especially young couples.

But the acting isn't bad, by any means. It's just everything feels so constructed, the dialogue the interactions etc.

was done really well
felixnkubi2 September 2021
I recently watched a show similar to this called Sex/Life, I hated it and found it really dumb but the way this show went about it was infinitely so much better! I was so invested from start to finish, and the acting was so raw, it felt so real... I so much hope for a season 2 but I doubt it, either way I would love to watch this actors again especially the two main leads.

Portraying a scary reality many of us don't want to talk or think about
alexlindgren084 September 2021
The depth behind this story is easily missed if you haven't been in the same dilemma as its portraying. Being someone who haven't learned to stay on your own two feet, torn between the security of an almost Co dependent relationship, and on the other side being with someone who has developed their individuality and giving you the glimpse of what that is like.

The fear of becoming your own person is holding people back i believe, staying in relationships which are not fulfilling, and in the process hurting your partner by your lack of authentic commitment. You are with them out of fear, not out of an authentic decision that this is the person you really want to be with.

This is a foundational dilemma in the human condition and people fall into the trap of finding security in other people all the time, specially when getting into a relationship while being younger.

Fantastic observation ability of the manus writers and actors in trying to portray something that's scary and relevant for many people, and the acting is very well done.

Temptations for modern women
Xelent19 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This series shows how helpless women become when their own gender show sexual interest. Siri probably rejects men all the time, but when an atracitve woman hits on her, she is so desperate to go through with it, that she looks at her her boyfriend that is next to her, begging him silenty to allow her infidelity. The situation ends up with a threesome instead.

Siri's emotions are stirred up after the event, and she blames her boyfriend for what happened.

But with this newfound desire for women, which makes her constantly horny, she takes her desire in a different direction. That is where the creators of this show derails from what would be the natural path to move forward; Siris intense bisexual desires that were kindled when she had a threesome.

This series says "A", but it would not say "B", and it turns into a regular non-bisexual drama instead.

Siri is a braindead character
kiolamika24 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Siri is a very vile character. She gets her boyfriend to have a threesome with this random woman even though he wasn't into it at first. She then goes around blaming him for it. This I understand, maybe she was insecure and seeing your boyfriend of 7 years have sex with another woman can really bother you.

But you know what else she does? She goes around her boryfriend's back and sleeps with a man she met on Instagram, all the while completely gaslighting and demonizing her boyfriend, such a hypocrite. Hated the show.

Matilda Källström is here to stay
lareval21 September 2021
A shockingly great series, one that came from nowhere and I was stucked and hooked throughout its eight-part storyline. Everything works wonderfully and the mix of languages (sweedish, french and english) and cultures are rich. The plot is way, way much better than expected and evolves into a deeper, engaging character arc that can be related to many real lives out there. Matilda Källström is a total revelations to me, I will keep posted on her from now on. Her talent must be discovered. Totally recommended!

Just no..
Szimeister4 October 2021
I only started to watch the show because my fiancé and friend where in as extras. I could only watch 4 episodes and the main reasons I couldn't watch more of it was because:

  • the script..like.. the dialogue in each episode felt like they only said 4 words each. Literally nothing happened that took the show foreword.

  • the acting. It wasn't the worst but it wasn't the best either

  • the character Siri.. I don't remember how old she supposed to be in the show but GOD she was annoying and acted like a 12 year old with that attitude. She clearly couldn't communicate with her boyfriend EVEN when he asked "what's wrong" etc. Instead she acted like everything was fine and then just sat angry alone inside her room. No thank you.

Although the episodes are too short, I am enjoying it.

Never mind the short dialogues, nobody recites Shakespiere in real life.

You just talk when you need to and that is it.

The acting is good. It centers mostly on Siri and John, because David doesn not talk much.

I am trying to find out whether there are more than eight episodes in the first season ... and if there is a fourth.

Rated 10 due to it being underrated. But its an 8.
aditya_ingole15 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The show is an unexpected find. The name of the show is misleading. Bad marketing perhaps? It's a very realistic drama between high school sweethearts who have been in a perfect relationship for 7 years. The relationship tumbles downward when they have a threesome at the girl's insistence (Siri) with Camille. The boy (David) though reluctant at first agrees to it. Siri regrets the threesome the next day. She refuses to talk about it and after some time begans blaming David for the whole thing even though it was mutual consent. She starts a relationship with another guy. David sensing something wrong ask her if she has been cheating which Siri vehemently denies and breaks off John. Things come to a screeching halt when at a party Siri sees John who she has feelings for but can't commit due to her still being in love with David. The series ends when David sees the texts from John confirming his worst fears.

The show is miles ahead of similar theme tv shows with little budget. The chemistry between the two leads is great.

I hope the next season will be about Siri and David breaking up. Even though they share a long history with a perfect relationship they can't continue after Siri's gaslighting by blaming David for threesome which she initiates and then having an affair with John all the while ignoring any conversation about the relationship till the point at which nothing can be salvaged. The season 2 should focus on David.

Disappointing
hanscarlsen-384754 September 2021
To exploit semi-naked young women and stripped young males does not make a good drama. The idea of monotoring young people exploring their sexuality is good and may shock some US watchers but is not the purpose? Still, the main characters are beautiful and quite charming.

... really one most well done of its genre - where can S2 be located
bjarias1 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
... acting in this series so-far has been exceptionally-good... yet what truly makes this programing unique is-writing-pacing... all-scenes everything's-feeling-real.. that's-rare... keep it all going in S2 & they'll-have-something-special

... hard to talk about this series w/o giving-away-little-bits ... so seeing as season one ended w-David not-confronting-Siri about-her-continuing-affair... maybe he'll cautiously-wait to-confirm-it then decide on a course of action... he's obviously been-in-love-w-her many years now... Siri's one w-lingering-doubts & compulsively-acting-on-them... as retribution he could silently go-after-Camille.. payback for Siri's deliberately-lied-lying to him again & again... feeling-guilt-betrayal for one she keeps-saying-professing she-truly-loves yet-not-stopping-her giving into her-sexual-appetite for new-thrills

... matters cannot be settled too quickly though as should they continue same number of episodes as S1 there's several hours of screen time to create... they could separate for-a-time to 'find-themselves' even-go-so-far as-hooking-up w-others... maybe-a-pregnancy... E8's-big-party reflected-her-desires-longing.. right-now she-remains passionately-hooked-on-John & needs to clear-that-lust out of her system or commit-to-him-regardless

... lots-of-ways for writers to proceed... but whatever happens Linnertorp appears to have a very-keen-awareness of the flaws of each of these characters & how to creatively-adeptly employ-those-weaknesses... believe S2 could-might be even better than S1... hope-it-comes-about can hardly wait for the possibilities... at the moment S1 ending she's feeling she loves both-these-men in-two-completely-different-ways... two-diametrically-different-people.. & to bring us to this juncture would-be-wrong-incomplete not-to-go-forward from-here & let-us-know choices-made by-both-of-them

... 12.19.23 - what gives with this show... IMDb showing an S2, 8-episodes with descriptions for all eight... yet on Viaplay's site they're still only indicating one season..??

Well made
davek287 May 2022
This is one of those series about beautiful young people having relationship problems in the big city. I'd feel very lucky to have the same problems that they have. The central couple has been together for too long and is starting to drift apart so, when they have a spur of the moment threesome, it triggers feelings and doubts that have been festering for some time. She doesn't want to ask the question and he doesn't think there's anything to discuss as the threesome was by mutual consent.

It's a very well made production and, despite some of the comments in here, I think the acting is very good. In fact a lot of the dialogue is unspoken. If you don't pay attention throughout you'll miss what Siri is feeling as it's expressed on her face rather than in words.

The sex scenes could have been embarrassing but I thought they were pretty realistic. I hope they had an intimacy coordinator on the set as they were very raw.

I'd love to see a follow-up series.

11/10 Punkten, einfach Realistisch
justiceasibey20 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I rate this series an 11/10 for its shocking, dramatic, profound, and realistic portrayal. I hope it gains the recognition it deserves. Pay close attention to the dialogues!

The actors are highly skilled, captivatingly portraying their characters with authentic and raw emotions, as if genuinely experienced. The camera work is perfect, effectively conveying the intended message, making it feel like observing real-life individuals, enhancing viewer connection with the characters.

The portrayal of London's nightlife, with its rampant drug and alcohol use and superficial dating culture, intensified by dating apps, is brilliantly depicted. Many young people might relate to this hedonistic scene and its associated risks.

Spoiler Alert!

The story revolves around a seasoned couple, together for seven years, genuinely in love, having moved from Sweden to England. The first season is from Siri's perspective, the second from David's.

Siri's pursuit of law studies in London is the reason David is there, working in a nondescript telemarketing job, lacking direction, as emphasized throughout the first season.

An unplanned incident in the first episode, the titular "Threesome," drastically changes their relationship dynamics. The producers did an excellent job depicting the aftermath of this event. Siri, having initiated the threesome with another attractive woman, faces a world falling apart. She tries to suppress it but constantly relives the night, sensing David enjoyed the sex more with the other woman than with her.

This realization tears her apart, severely affecting her relationship with David. In the first season, David appears as a somewhat empty, directionless person, keen only on pleasing Siri, seemingly unconcerned with the threesome's impact post-event.

The relationship then spirals downwards. Confused and emotionally turmoil, Siri starts entertaining the idea of finding what she has in her relationship elsewhere. She stalks a handsome dancer named John on social media and begins contacting him through a fake account, leading to an affair. This raises questions about whether Siri, transformed over seven years, prefers someone like John, who is career-driven, ambitious, openly communicative about his feelings, and knows what he wants.

Thus begins Siri's odyssey of self-discovery, true feelings, passion, and the thrill absent in her current relationship, pondering questions anyone in a long-term relationship since their youth might ask: Who am I without my partner? Have we changed? Does my partner find me attractive? Are we heading in the same direction or sharing the same goals? What is sex like with others? Is our relationship unique? Could it be replicated with someone else? Would it be better? Do I want to spend my life with this person?

The series feels like Siri and David are letting us into their daily lives, witnessing their story and learning from it. It shows how relationships can always change. One might think seven years bring satisfaction and security until a sudden event leads to questioning one's relationship and partner. It reminded me of a similar personal experience, akin to watching the "Black Mirror" episode "Joan is awful," triggering flashbacks and contemplation.

Definitely watch the second season, which is all from David's perspective and will emotionally engage and surprise you.

Reality bites
aztroxkai19 January 2023
It will be so relatable to people who have experience the betrayal, confusion, complex relationships, especially to young couples. The story also shows the vulnerability of women and young men in relationships. But with strong commitment and foundation, it can be done but sadly the issue won't be forgotten.

The series brought the best drama about young people that can be found in any generation. But the dynamics of staying in one of the big cities seems also portrays the facts and true to its nature.

Overall the film and story is a favorite similar to older folks with less thriller like Unfaithful.

Show like more novel than tv show and cast is amazing.matilda and simon espcially such a amazing couple.its so sad because of the name so many peoples will ignore and will think like sex/life something rubbish but definitelly in same level with normal people even with small budget.

I am very familiar with nordic movies and series usually but this is definitelly unxeptectedly very good because i wasn't known the cast, director or anything.just gave a chance and i am happy to do that.if you liked to normal people or if you like joachim trier movies definitelly you will like it. Offcourse if you are men you will like matilda more too.

Excellent.
paulmurphy-2523110 August 2022
I was surprised how good this was.

It was a thoughtful look at what can happen to a couple when an outside 'factor' is brought into a previously stable relationship.

It struck me as realistic and was a story very well told and particularly well acted.

The ending was spot on.
