The movie theatre pamphlet stickers had "Kohana" (in English) written on every member instead of their own individual names.
This will be the second movie in the Girls x Heroine Series that was set to be released on April 29, 2021 however the movie was then announced to be postponed indefinitely on April 26 due to Japan announcing a state of emergency in Tokyo from April 25 - May 11 (though later extended) for Covid-19. It was later announced on May 10 that the movie was to release on May 21, 2021.
Scriptwriter Yoichi Kato is a fan of actor Shingo Yanagisawa, during his time writing the first draft of the movie, he included a character named "Chief Shingo", forcing Takashi Miike to wonder if Kato wanted him to cast the actor. Ultimately, the decision was made and Shingo Yanagisawa was cast to play Chief Shingo.
According to Takashi Miike during his interview with 'cinemarche' about the Lovepatrina movie, he stated that he told his staff to not put "special emphasis" just because it's a movie. In hopes that the movie would look just like the TV series so children wouldn't be disappointed when they see something different compared to what is usually seen on the show.
This is the first time since their appearances in Miracle Tunes and MagimajoPures to have the heroine's make an appearance in their transformed state.
Although, it is currently unknown as to why Fuka is able to transform as her sound jewel no longer has power.
