A sadly misunderstood episode

Equal Fights is an underrated episode, and also quite misunderstood among the fandom, both by the haters and the people who like quoting it: The point of the episode is not mocking feminism on itself. The point is mocking a particular brand of feminism which seems to be based on the notion that women, by the mere fact of being women, are somehow excused of any form of accountability.

The same kind of stupid mentality that considers all men, by the mere fact of being men, are always "opressors" or even worse, rapists.

This is a very ridiculous and oversimplifying worldview which infantilizes women (And is often used with some sort of ulterior purpose, as some form of collective manipulation) and goes against the basic principle of feminism, which is the search for equality between men and women, and not a personal vendetta against men (No matter how much the admirers of Valerie Solanas and similar figures would want to believe otherwise) nor a war between genders.

Fake, corporate "feminism" is pretty much like the real equivalent of characters like Femme Fatale: Just see that incredible stupid "Cruella" movie by Disney (A big corporation where political correctness and other similar causes are always supported only in the name of profit) which includes ridiculous phrases as "I am woman, hear me roar" on its campaign.

Lauren Faust herself has disowned this episode, believing the issues tackled on it where not appropiately handled. Maybe a kids shows was not the best medium to explore such kind of real-life complexities. Personally, it is one of those cartoons one is able to appreciate and understand better as an adult.

The Headsucker Proxy was funny to watch, also.
