Hail to the Chiefs Kingdom as they clip the Eagles wings!
blanbrn14 February 2023
"Super Bowl LVII" turned out to be competitive and one of the better and most watched Super Bowls in years as this classic in Glendale, Arizona came down to the final seconds and a 38-35 K. C. win. Being an Eagles fan and watching them lose hurt me as I felt they had the better team, their O moved the ball at ease as Jalen Hurts balled out having 4 total TD's 3 of them rushing which set a Super Bowl record for a QB, his numbers were gaudy 27/38 for 304 and he added 15 car for 70, his wideouts had big games too Smith 7 rec for 100 and Brown 6 rec for 96 and a TD. The Birds had 115 net rush and 417 total net O and won TOP 35:47 to 24:13 yet they did not do enough on defense. Get this the Kansas City O line allowed no sacks as the Eagles D line was shut out and could not get to Patrick! And Mahomes the NFL and game MVP scored when he had to despite only throwing for 182 he threw for 3 TD's and added gutsy runs(6 car for 44). And Kelce brother Travis got the best of the night the win while adding 6 rec for 81 and a TD! K. C. Wins the battle of the Kelce brothers bowl and the Andy Reid bowl as "Big Red" gets a victory over his old team! To bad for the Eagles who had such a deep and talented roster, the loss Hurts yet Jalen and the Eagles will be back flying high again as the sky is the limit for the Birds!

Super Bowl

Warning: Spoilers
The biggest American football game of the year almost always delivers and this one was no different. It was not as exciting as some people claimed, some had it in the top 5 or top 10 of all time and it certainly wasn't that, but it did go down to the wire. That's all you can ask for from a game.

As a New England Patriots fan I had no rooting interest in this game, but I picked the Kansas City Chiefs to win. I didn't think they'd need an almost buzzer beating field goal to win it, but a win is a win.

Patrick Mahomes could end up with 5 Super Bowls when his career is over. That seemed unimaginable for a QB just a few years ago.

It's very difficult to think of anything gloomy to say . . .

. . . about SUPER BOWL LVII. After all, this show featured more than 60 in-game national television ads, not even counting a plethora of Fox Network promos, local ads, plugs prior to the opening kickoff, sponsor messages after the anticlimactic last kick, during half-time and so forth. One or two of the commercials actually had a smattering of humor or entertainment value, such as the ones for the chips or the hunt for the b-i-n-k-y. While Clydesdale horses seemed to be few and far between, canines, mutts, dogs and b--o-w-s-e-r-s appeared in abundance. There was some singing before the game, and more warbling during halftime. Though many viewers were skeptical of the final result, why should that be any different than Election Day? All in all, there is a lot to celebrate. It's as if the Groundhog came out, saw his shadow, and said "No more football for six months!"

Well, here is the 57th Super Bowl and one of the closest in history! I was so glad to finally see a Super Bowl back on the uh, small screen again. While everyone watches it for the commercials, it really made me root for the teams. Well, I didn't know who to root for at first. I was really thinking that they would have to go into overtime. What do I even know about football anyway?

The Kansas City Chiefs won by only three points with less than a minute of time left! The commercials were fantastic too. My favorite ones were probably the Jesus ones. It was telling us to love our enemies. Seeing as how we see nothing but comedians saying how they hate religion, it was quite refreshing. I also loved the one about Disney celebrating its 100th anniversary.

We got to see some celebrities watching the game, but hey, I recognized one of the players, Jerry Rice! I at least read "Guinness World Records". The movie trailers were great too. This thing was still shorter than "Avatar: The Way Of Water". Then again, that probably doesn't include the commercials. We finally got a purple M&M too! ****

My devices are buzzing a hole in my pocket . . .

. . . regarding the fact that this page may bring down the entire Internet tonight. Users from coast-to-coast, and presumably across the entire Planet, are trying to get their proverbial "two cents worth" in about this show, and reportedly are being stymied at every turn. Evidently, this event was the most controversial in about five dozen iterations, and perhaps because of that fact, no feedback is being brooked that falls short of a total "sweetness and light" snow job. I'm sure commentators can be found that will write such misleading blather if paid enough, just as some mercenaries will state that the sky is green, grass is purple, East is West and the World is flat, IF you pay them enough. At the moment, this program has a suspiciously high aggregate rating of "8" out of ten. Perhaps votes are only being accepted from Missouri?
