Michael Armstrong was born in South London in November 1973. His parents were not in the slightest bit musical, although they did listen to music frequently. Michael remembers car journeys singing along and harmonising with his brother to The Beatles Greatest Hits. He knew from a very early age that he wanted to express himself through music and song.
During this tour, before each song Michael played, he gave an a short insight (anecdote) a really nice touch offering newcomers a chance to get to know his background and influences.
Looking For the World is Michaels latest album. It looks back to a golden era, derides the dumbing down of society, explores love & fidelity, gives a kicking to reality TV, touches on the state of world politics & bemoans the hard life of the troubadour struggling to make himself heard.
It's been highly rated and had a wave of publicity.
Certain tracks such as Billy Joels 'Allen Town' and also 'Johannesburg' can be viewed on Michaels website. Both live appearances derive from the Harlow Playhouse.
Michaels management and promotions are done through Lisa Davies Promotions.
