Moved Plot forward in a Satisfactory fashion

Warning: Spoilers
This ep was like the pilot in that it gave me a lot of exposition and information about a lot of things all in one large clump. However, I rated the pilot better, because that's what PILOTS have to do.

To be fair, there were moments of absolute excellence.

Honestly, Jared Padalecki & Jeff Pierre were perfect together. Coby Bell was absolutely cute as the divorced guy getting hit on while also believable as the Captain & big man in charge. Keegan Allen was both so young looking and yet so sharp.

Both of those pairings moved forward smoothly.

Also, Padalecki & Lindsey Morgan have wonderful chemistry together and their scenes were good, although the FLASHBACKS from Micki's past took me completely out of the mood.

The bracelet was a dead give away clue. The scenes with Micki & her adopted mom/aunt showed incredible ACTING skill, but fell flat for me both because they had a lack of build up in the writing (which lessened my response to their emotion) and had also given the plot twist away.

And I'm left wondering if I'm supposed to dislike Trevor so much. He literally held that gun like a stone cold psychopath, but was at the soccer match calling Walker "sir."

Final grumble, casting needed to work on "types" for minor roles, like the overdone bikers. Every role, even small ones are crucial. (Meanwhile, boyfriend Mike was a WIN.)

So, good news/bad news for me on this one. HOWEVER STILL MY FAVORITE NEW SHOW AND STILL LOVE THIS CAST.

Like peeling an onion, we find out more

Warning: Spoilers
After the twists and turns of last week, we learned a little more in this episode. No sign of Geri in Reynoso, Mexico, but Liam and James tracked some of the gallery (owned by Carlos Mendoza's daughter) money to a gang "Northside Nation". Previously they connected payments to "Straw Ring, LLP" which is the Side-Step Bar that Geri owns.

When the girls soccer team at an out of town game in Laredo, took off for a "ball pong" party and members of Northside Nation showed up and harassed them, was it just a coincidence or did someone send the gang to harass the Walker kids? Did Trevor or his dad Clint who is in prison have something to do with it? Cordell, Mickey and Trey saved the day.

Sure looked like when Trevor picked up the pistol, he aimed it at Cordell and not the perp on the ground. Is he conflicted, maybe doubting the story that his father told him about "Duke" being responsible for his mother's death and his father's incarceration? His father is Clint West and he's Trevor Strand so no one would connect them, though I'd think a background check would be required if Trevor was working in a facility connected to law enforcement. Trevor though openly admitted to Stella that he was working there to see his dad.

We have the reveal near the end explaining the hit and run charge against Adriana Ramirez. And then there was the truck bomb, always a sign that someone's cover has been blown.

Hope they get things back - focus on catching the bad guys and back off the family drama. American TV obsesses with turning everything into family dramas. Dialog has to match with gender and age of the characters, in other words does male dialog sound too feminine or like a child and not a male adult. Periodically I'm hearing dialog that doesn't jive with the character, a script editor should be checking it.

Still enjoying the series and the cast.

held my breath

Wow, this was an intense one! Not as solid as last week, but still solidly entertaining. Walker and his family's story remains my favorite, I'm always so concerned for everyone! I feel like Micki's plot is getting a little weak, but it might be too early to tell. As always, the performances are good and the chemistry is awesome. The dramatic moments have me at the edge of my seat !! Super excited for next week.

I loved this episode much more this week! Every episode is amazing but last week I was upset at how Walker was being portrayed. This week was perfect Walker and Micki's chemistry as always was absolute fire. The ending again leaves you wanting another episode right away . Please more episodes like this where Walker isn't crapped on. Jared did such a fantastic job I'm always impressed.

It is an episode where Walker seems to be on parenting duties a lot.

The cop stuff is left to Captain James and Liam who go to Mexico. It could be explosive.

Much of the episode is on the teen stuff. The kids go on a high school girls soccer outing. Late at night they have a party and get drunk.

It gets silly when a bunch of adults come to harass them. One manages to shoot a moving football.

It is just laughably bad, kids cannot have some fun without being bothered by some people.

At least it gives Walker some action scenes. Frankly he had little else to do in this episode.
