Sex & Nudity

  • While there is no actual sex or nudity, there are frequent, very strong sexual references (i.e. "unprotected anal sex").
  • Many women are shown wearing revealing clothing that emphasizes the curves of their bodies as well as breasts and buttocks.
  • While fighting one of the female characters, Jack stares at her breasts admiringly. After he wins the fight, he spanks her several times until the force sends her flying out a window, killing her.
  • There is gratuitous "Breast Jiggling".
  • The commentators constantly talk about sexual references.

Violence & Gore

  • Despite being a Wii-only game, Madworld is absurdly violent, graphic and brutal. The storyline sees various contestants being chosen to partake in a fighting competition and kill each other until only a lone winner remains. So needless to say, the violence is going to be very intense and extreme, though it is very campy and cartoonish in approach, with its violence level likened to Tom and Jerry or Itchy and Scratchy, not to be taken seriously
  • The player is encouraged to kill hundreds of enemies using the environment or weapons or pure hand-to-hand combat. Enemies will be impaled, crushed, blown apart, decapitated, or simply sawn into pieces with a chainsaw. All of these involve copious amounts of blood and gore. It is stark in contrast to the monochrome color style.
  • In one of the early levels, the player is encouraged to toss enemies into a jet turbine, effectively shredding them into millions of gory pieces with significant amounts of blood.
  • In another level, the player is encouraged to toss enemies into oncoming trains, causing massive gory splatters and blood.
  • These are just some major violent elements in Madworld, as there are many other extremely violent sequences throughout.
  • A few parental groups were so offended by the violent nature of the game that they petitioned against it, believing that the Wii could be little more than a family friendly console. In spite of the controversy surrounding it, Nintendo came to defense of the title.

Profanity

  • As with many M-rated games, the stronger the language, the more often it's used. Words like "Hell", "Damn", and "Shit" are rarely used, but "Fuck" (and it's derivatives) are used countless times very frequently.
  • There are many sexual remarks and references.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The main character, Jack is seen smoking throughout the entire game.
  • The narrators make references to drug and alcohol use.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • could have easily been rated AO if released on pc,
  • Most of the frightening scenes are due to the extremely violent and graphic ways that enemies are killed. These include death by chainsaws, by trashcans, getting sucked into giant turbines, electrocution, toilets etc.
  • Despite all the gore, its very over the top and the game has sense of humor
