My previous comment today was about LA VOUIVRE, also taking place in the countryside and speaking of a strange female character about whom the gossips were galore.... Those two films are very close in terms of plot and two worth watching for those who are interested in such schemes and atmospheres. This very one: MADEMOISELLE B, is less interesting and not as excellent as LA VOUIVRE. Because MADEMOISELLE B is a TV movie destined to home audiences, so the efforts are not the same. I suppose it is adapted from a novel, a deep and nasty picture of people behavior in specific situations. It is not bad at all, and it's just a shame that this film is not available anymore, except on the French Tv archives website.
