It's a happy 1000th episode for 'Neighbours'. It's after the peak of the so-called golden era of the programme, but casual viewers will still see the 'big guns' like Paul, Des, Jane around.
And of course Mike, played by Guy Pearce, who makes rather a fool of himself by interrupting/spoiling the engagement party of Des and Jane.
It's like looking back at a time capsule watching these old episodes, but boy are we grateful to Amazon Freevee for making them available.
It allows us to see where the beloved characters were at this point and where they went on to next.
The best part of this episode for me was the Harold/Jim conversation in the kitchen - pure 'Neighbours' gold.
