Having seen the first episode, this mini-series looks promising.
While parts of the story are highly speculative, it remains plausible and interesting to watch. The complaint of it being historically inaccurate is uncalled for, it's a series, not a documentary.
The quality of acting is very good, this series features some of the best actors and actresses The Netherlands has to offer at this moment. The script works in a simple but effective way: the old Bernard tells the story of his life to his grand-daughter-in-law Maxima, in a flashback construction, the viewer switches back and forth between the young and old Bernard without it becoming annoying.
Looking forward to the other episodes.
