Well, after much anticipation and having read the book when there was still no talk of a TV series, I can say that The Killing Kind has won me over.
While diverging from the original story in some points, the authors have done an excellent job on screen, from the settings to the sense of suspense
Every episode makes you want to continue and you have to because you can't tear yourself away from Ingrid and John
Emma Appletone proved how good she is at making you feel her anxieties, psychoses and fears
Colin Morgan literally turned into John Webster and even the viewer cannot help but be drawn to him, be manipulated by him
His looks, his expressiveness, his persuasive voice captivate you
You are afraid to rely on him but you cannot do without him and you wonder if it will be the right choice.
I didn't know Colin Morgan before Belfast and after Billy I saw all his work, including Merlin Co ten years late.
Well, what can I say
He has a talent that goes beyond mere acting
He identifies so much with his roles that you can hardly associate him with Victor Richardson ( Testament of youth ) and immediately afterwards with the terrible Billy Clanton
Or Cathal ( Parked ) and then see him as John Webster
He has a gift this man
And his professionalism, humanity, modesty and skill elevate him to the Olympus of superstars.
