- BLACK COFFEE is a film based upon two characters who meet in an unusual interesting way. Mrs. Malik lives alone in a small town battling with the vacuum created by the absence of family. She has an encounter with Krishna. Who is jugging his way to meet the needs and desires of his family. The film slowly unravels the complex emotional human need of companionship and is an attempt to draw attention towards this slowly progressing depressive illness seen in nuclear families.—Hemant Verma
- A thief breaks into Mrs. Malik's house late in the night. But circumstances force him to stay. Whenever he tries to leave, a situation arises, and he is unable to walk out. During this time, he finds out the woman is sick and lives in the massive house all by herself. Her kids that had gone abroad to study, never returned. Her husband couldn't bear the grief and passed away. After hearing Mrs. Malik's story, the thief feels for her and changes his mind. He returns the next day to give back all that he had stolen from the woman. She is angry at first but forgives him as she learns the reason behind it.—Hemant Verma
