Warning: Spoilers
The first airing of this episode was 6½ *months* after the previous one, in effect splitting Season One into two (not that anyone is likely to care). One "benefit" for this reviewer of living in Finland was that here the two episodes aired on consecutive days. And that *really* reveals BIG problems.

Obviously this was intended as a smooth jumping-in point for new viewers. For the existing ones, the first question is obviously: "How big a gap in time is there since the events in #1.13?" For some reason, the show-runners not only don't tell us, it seems that they are obfuscating us, since the quick "Previously on" segment at the beginning ignores major events and leaves people unmentioned. Where are Erin Lucas and Adam Senn? They won't tell us (not that anyone is likely to care). One thing a TV show should be is self-contained. We should not need to resort to digging the answers from the 'Net (not that anyone is likely to bother). Extremely unprofessional.

The second, even more pressing question, is: "What did Olivia's superiors do when they found out she *lied to their face* about Jessica Alba's dress?" The show-runners won't tell us. One could theorize that they want to keep up the appearance that the cameras only document the events in the life of the people in the series, but The Hills already should have proved them that when said "reality TV" airs, the outside world *will* affect the show - the people of the show exist in that world, so why pretend that there are no cameras? In the countless reality shows the evidence the cameras record are used to reveal things to people participating in said shows, so why all this façade? There is *no* logical explanation and therefor the whole series becomes an exercise in pointlessness.

There is evidence to suggest that Olivia's superior's did *not* let her antics go without repercussions. She is no longer the London liaison. She is given a new job and her tough new boss, Erin, says, "We'll break her in." Yet, Olivia again defies belief when she dares to criticize Erin and storm out of the room. What the frak? Really, is she trying a career suicide? Or does she have a legally binding contract that prevents her bosses from firing her because of this clueless series? Whatever. There is not even unintentional fun to be had here. Please avoid this nonsense at all cost. If you do, this reviewer's suffering through this garbage has not been in vain.
