The film Dr. Otto Dekein's Original Design is a film that doesn't have a huge budget or the most professional actors, but with clever writing, sharp dialogue, and an interesting story this is one film that showcase that films can still be enjoyable based on these things alone. As mentioned before the best thing about the film is the writing and dialogue. Every character is unique given their set of dialogue as well as being likable. The interactions is funny between all the characters via dialogue or physical comedy. It is a joy to watch the story as it unfolds and seeing what happens next. The only major problem is the pacing, see at times their are drawn out scenes that are in slow motion and it really take you out of the film. This is the only thing that really kills the film. I can't judge the budget or the age of the actors because it was made by students and it would be just nitpicking. Overall the film is a great comedic story that with the help of dialogue and sharp writing, show the great potential this writer and directors have.
