Good, but...

I think the director and the cast had their fun doing this movie. I enjoyed it but couldn't stop thinking that it needed a bit more editing.

Maybe it follows the path of the hurt locker, in that it shows a certain place in a certain time, more than tell a traditional story, this can be good. However, it sometimes feels as if the director loves to linger on long contemplative shots (mostly well framed, but just too long), and kills the flow that the viewer tries to get.

I didn't get much flow, personally. Of course this is a subjective matter. In the words of the director, this responds to the flow you feel in "La Barra" , the place where it takes place, that is very much real. He also says most of the actors are real people, doing basically what they do in real life... So I thought, agreeing with a friend, that maybe a documentary was more of a solution.

The Natural actors did fine, the little girl I think being the best, but I wonder if working with many real-life natural "actors" works sometimes against writing and putting a better script and movie together.
