Let's face it. Politicians often lie. Their lies are often strategic and that's what Brigette is forced to do. Greenland has found dramatic oil deposits and wants to use it. Brigette is forward thinking and feels that she would be selling out the future and encouraging global warming if she supported the country. Still, this is a cash cow which will dramatically alter the Greenland economy and change the lives of the population. The problem, in addition to the environmental aspects, is that the Russians are in on this and stand to benefit greatly. Brigette is asked to hold back for a bit because of the wishes of the UN and the United States. Very good drama on a serious topic.
