Thanksgiving is Cancelled!
Sylviastel10 December 2009
Sue finally gets a boyfriend, Brad, who isn't what her parents' expected. He's 13 and into dancing. Her parents think that Brad is the ideal boyfriend who is takes things too slowly and cooks and bakes. Well, Frankie's boss wants them all to work on Thanksgiving so she cancels the holiday when she can't get the time to do everything such as getting the turkey ready, her elderly aunts, and her estranged father-in-law played by John Cullum to the house on time. The family seems uninterested in celebrating the holiday until they decide to do something to ease the burden off Frankie's shoulders. I like Frances Bay and Jeannette Miller as the elderly aunts and glad that they brought them back in the series. John Cullum plays the father-in-law and he's a first rate actor in all avenues, stage, film, and television. Chris Kattan is the perfect sidekick to Heaton's Frances.

Sue's First Boyfriend
myronlearn10 April 2018
This marks the debut of Brad, Sue's first ever boyfriend, played beautifully by Brock Ciarlelli. His character, which ran from the first season to the last, evolved into the serie's openly gay and loyal friend. He and Sue (the amazing Eden Sher) had many hilarious moments together, starting with this first Thanksgiving episode.
