When the detectives inspect the red car, they see large, pie-shaped wedges of glass protruding from the perimeter of the door's window frame. It is revealed that the vehicle is a 1979 Mercedes which should have been equipped with tempered glass windows, which would have shattered. Safety Glass was required in automotive door glass beginning in 1977, regardless of where the vehicle was manufactured.
When it is revealed that Det. Bernard has a child, the child is referred to twice as a male child before the goof. 1) Defense attorney refers to the child as "your son" when questioning Bernard. 2) Bernard shouts "he's a 10 year old boy" after his revealing performance on the stand. However, in the final moments of the show, Bernard goofs and refers to the child as "her", when answering Lupo's question of how the kid was: "HER mother and I, uh, she ended up marrying her actual boyfriend. We both decided that it would be better, less confusing, if I didn't see HIM. Guess I could look HIM up on the Internet."
Det. Bernard reads an online post as "Somebody needs to kill him before..." when the text shown in the screen is "Somebody should kill this guy before..." (When he quotes the post later, he quotes it correctly.)
