Smallville will never stop to amaze me. They did it again ! When I thought it would be just an other kryptonite featurette, like Blue in season 7, this episode really surprised me. I felt like a kid watching Happy Days for the very first time with the mouth full of candy. Erica Durance performance was just insanely joyful and hilarious ! It was also obvious that Tom Welling was having a good time. I think I have never laughed so much before a Smallville episode. The interesting thing is that beside the jokes some major developments happened. Zod and a few of his soldiers were part of the whole ride and they brought some darkness to the pink and yellow striped picture.
Tess was also back, gorgeous and very manipulative as always. I also really liked Chloe's role even if I missed Oliver. An other element I enjoyed was the way one specific character was affected by the kryptonite because it was unexpected. My only disappointment would be the rushed ending because I think such an obvious reference to some dramatic event should have been done more carefully. It was just disrespectful, lazy and don't think I got it wrong. But the good thing about all Persuasion events is that they changed the tides of time and now I have no clue what will happen next so even if the cliffhanger wasn't flawless it still succeeded in intriguing me.
