Again

Although Umut Evirgen is a director who makes films with his own scripts, the narration is always problematic in his films.

It takes a long time to get into the stories, the character introduction is very poor - the audience has to guess - most of the time.

This is not his first feature film, but he still hasn't overcome these problems.

a step to a new vision

I found the script very untidy, as a film lover I think the director tried to do something unique and brave, the path is great but needs practice and tidyness with the script. Also the using of anamorphic lens could have been more benefitial.

Interesting cinematography, great cast...could have been a short film instead of full length.

It was interesting. That's my full thoughts on this film.

There was some very interesting cinematography the use of quiet and blurred views made this seem like an "artsy" film.

The entire story ends up being a what might have been or an imagined break from real life over the course of one evening between two complete strangers who happen to both be bored and are catching a smoke outside alone at the same time. The girl...played by the fantastic actress Melisa Senolsun, who is young and living in the club scenes with her boyfriend who is spinning upstairs and a middle aged gentleman, who seems to be at a kabob restaurant with his wife, son and friends.

I love Melisa, she is fantastic. She was great in Nefese nefese, if you haven't seen it you should. I did enjoy other of her works like Kirilik ask...but don't watch that for her role as she is a sub character and plays a bit of a petulant brat...and Atiye, which was good...but again she is a supporting role. (Trust me on Nefese Nefese, she plays the romantic lead and is fantastic. I will always think of her as curly and have a fondness for her...as we share similar natural curly hair.)

There are some interesting themes shown in this film that I have never seen portrayed in a Turkish series or film before...mainly a drag show and the depiction of transvestism. I imagine that is still pretty controversial in a country with such a large Muslim population. It wasn't dressed up or overly flattered, just kind of showed prominently...so fair warning if you watch, expect that.

Ruin

It should be covered in lessons in the university classes to tell "how to ruin a very good casting with nonsense story". Otherwise it can not be acceptable as a movie, its a really nice resource for students who study in cinema dep.
