I didn't really care about the episode's story. It just doesn't make sense guys were so over Maggie. Nothing wrong about her, but at the same time not somebody that every guy has pursue and who has to be guarded so she doesn't get a new relationship within a few hours. Never being single almost makes her look pathetic. And I don't like that Ted was always in love with her, makes so many things in the past of this show less meaningful and important. Also if he had to get there so fast why discuss it with his class forever.

But it had good side jokes. Barney in his overall accepting his own challenge was alright. And even better was Robin in this episode, screwing it up for Barney and trying to keep that guy away from Maggie (and yes, I don't believe h wouldn't go for Robin over Maggie!). 15 year old Marshall was hilarious as well. And I can't wait until he starts working to save the environment, I am sure they will make him at some point!

Another Drop In Quality

This episode wasn't a lot of fun, despite Barney's "Challange" raising a chuckle or too!!

Plot In A Paragraph: Ted has always thought that Maggie Wilks, a girl he, Marshall and Lily knew in college, is the perfect woman. He's wanted to date her ever since she moved to New York, but she's always been in a relationship. Even between relationships, it's been a matter of hours before she was with another man in a long term relationship. So when Ted finds out, with the help of Maggie's neighbour, that Maggie is once again single, Ted rushes over to her apartment before another man swoops in. Meanwhile, when Marshall, finds an old letter he found that he wrote to his 30 year old self when he was 15, hits a sudden and early mid-life crisis.

From a brilliant episode, we have had a drop in quality with each episode since.

Not really a fan of this one

Warning: Spoilers
I'm not a fan, I guess you could say, of Ted's stories where he met a girlfriend that we know didn't become the mother for obvious reasons, and we all have our mistakes, but this one was silly.

I found each one of Ted's friends watching Maggie to become tiresome. It trickled from Lily & Marshall "watching her" to Robin and then Barney. As a college professor, Ted forgetting he had a class was kind of silly. Me personally, I don't care how hot a girl is but when she asked him if she wanted him to go to the class, and she answered with a snark-filled no, that would've been a major turnoff to me. Ted is an architect. If she couldn't go with him to cancel the class, then forget it.

None of the jokes were funny really in this one. Even barney with the overalls was kind of lame and the arc with The Maggie "I did become those things" was distressing. How is that supposed to be funny? As the show was running along, I was getting kind of irritated because this episode basically boiled down to Ted and that other guy fighting over the cute red head for 22 minutes so some other guy could win? Then they give their back story? Who cares?

That was a bummer.

Warning: Spoilers
Well, Ted could have asked Maggie right away since she has tendency to get into the relationship right after break up. Instead of asking her right away Ted tried to keep her away from other guys, i mean she would have said yes to Ted given her past relationships how she got into all the relationships right after a break up. Ted could have asked her out, gave her some time to think, go to the college. Ted should have let Maggie know his feelings for her. Ted's a man with a plan but with poor execution.
