An okay gag short
An okay gag short, the very first work by Victor Caire, who eventually went to direct the celebrated short film "Garden Party" nominated to an Academy Award, along with Florian Babikian and Vincent Bayoux.
It barely has a plot, involving mostly some silly animal chenanigans, but for a debut short, the photorealistic animation (Except for the little black bird, which was animated in a slightly more cartoonish style) was quite impressive and well made. According to the information provided in the video description, Victor Caire wanted the short to have a "documentary aspect" combined with the comedy, which seems to be a prevalent element in the rest of his work.
Not very much else can be added. I liked the guitar music in the credits.
