- Jacques Noiret: [about taking a rifle] So what was your plan, if you don't mind me asking?
- Iván Noiret León: My plan? To blow your head off. That was my plan.
- Jacques Noiret: Wow. What a son you are, huh?
- Iván Noiret León: The kind you deserve.
- Carolina Leal Solís: I was remembering the note you gave me when we were six, the one that said, "Do you want to be my girlfriend?" And when I went to say yes, you pulled my ponytail.
- Iván Noiret León: Right. So... why are you bringing that up now?
- Carolina Leal Solís: That it was funny when we were six, but you haven't changed. You keep doing the same thing.
- Iván Noiret León: If this is about Julia, she screwed it up, for telling where my mom was.
- Carolina Leal Solís: Ivan, if she did, it's only because she loves you. I don't know how you do it, but the more someone loves you the worse you treat them.
- Iván Noiret León: Maybe it's because the people who said they loved me the most were the ones who hurt me the most. Like you. If you remember, you left me for Marcos.
- Jacques Noiret: Why are you allowing Amelia to give the kids the medicine?
- Hugo Alonso: Because it was none of your business to take it away from them.
- Jacques Noiret: [chuckles] How am I supposed to handle those kids if Amelia contradicts me?
- Hugo Alonso: So? Were you gonna let them die? Your son, too? You're a funny family, you know?
- Jacques Noiret: I'm glad you're enjoying it so much. I bet you think I love all this, that it's easy knowing that my son hates me and tried to kill me.
- Hugo Alonso: Wow. It almost seems like you have a heart. That doesn't help us at all. Just follow my orders.
- Jacques Noiret: [sighs] And what's that to be?
- Hugo Alonso: Mr. Joaquin's body is causing a stir, and the police are everywhere. We can't call attention to us by killing those kids. Not right now.
- Jacques Noiret: Not now?
- Hugo Alonso: It's just a couple of weeks until everything gets underway, then the kids will die - discreetly - and you can mourn your loss bitterly.
