- As Ryan's family dynamic grows more complicated, she also finds herself in the middle of a Bat Team stand-off between Luke and Mary; Alice finds a new sidekick to do her bidding.
- Ryan makes a deal with Jada to get an antidote for Mary against the Poison Ivy infection, and the deal involves betraying Marquis. Marquis doesn't take it well and escapes with the antidote. He uses the antidote to blackmail Ryan into doing something drastic. Meanwhile, Mary and Alice go on a road trip.—Gislef
- Ryan meets Marquis in a parking garage to plot a corporate merger against Jada. SUVs come in, and armed men and Jada come out. The men drag Marquis unconscious and take him away, and Jada tells Ryan that she took care of her family and now her family will take care of her. With that, Jada tells Ryan to explain more about the favor she needs.
The next day, Vesper is on the radio talking about witnesses have seen signs that Poison Ivy is back. Pamela Isley, the original Poison Ivy, hasn't been seen in over a decade
Sophie wakes up in Renee's bed, but Renee isn't there. Renee left a note for Sophie to make herself at home. After checking the news on her phone, Sophie goes to the office and confronts Luke about Mary being Poison Ivy. Luke explains that Mary becomes Poison Ivy when there's sunlight, and she's herself at night. Sophie wonders if there's a way to cure Mary, just as Ryan comes in and says that there isn't yet but there will be. She says that Jada has her best minds on it, and Ryan gave them a sample of Mary's blood so they can come up with an antidote. Sophie wonders what is in it for Jada.
In a Jetarian lab, Marquis is strapped to a table and kept unconscious. A tech tells Jada that they can begin the freezing process as soon as they flush all intoxicants from Marquis's system. The scientist, Dr. Tuva, warns that putting a human in suspended animation is uncharted territory and they don't want to rush things. Jada says that they can use the time to finish on her other project. Tuva says that no one has seen a similar plant-based infection since Swamp Thing, but they're synthesizing the antidote now.
Ryan, Luke, and Sophie go to the Batcave, and Ryan says that she couldn't say anything about it until Marquis was in custody. She explains that she couldn't risk putting anyone else in jeopardy. Ryan points out that they don't have any choice but to trust that Jada will deliver on her end of the deal, and Luke hasn't picked up any activity from any of Mary's credit cards or her phone. The computer registers from Alice's tracking bracelet that she has left Gotham. Sophie admits that she didn't go home the previous night, and Ryan wonders if Mary is with Alice.
That night, Alice is driving an RV down the road. Mary wakes up and wonders where they are, and Alice explains that they wrecked their stolen sports car fleeing the police. When Mary tells Alice to stop, Alice pulls over and tells Mary that Poison Ivy threw away her phone. Mary realizes that she's has the Batwing AI in her pocket, and Alice explains that Poison Ivy ripped it out of the suit. Alice tells Mary that she did something worse to Ryan, and Mary goes to the back bathroom to vomit.
Once Mary recovers and comes out, Alice says that Ryan and Luke want to put Mary in Arkham and Renee knows Mary's secret as well. Mary figures she's going to be a fugitive for the rest of her life, and Alice says that she won't be once she learns to control her powers, and until then Alice will keep Mary safe in return for Mary helping her get the nanobots out of her blood by doing a full blood transfusion. She asks Mary who she trusts more: her friends who want to lock her away, or Alice who is trying to keep her free. Mary gives in and finds out what Alice's blood type is.
Batwoman and Sophie drive out to the RV, following Luke's directions as he monitors Alice's tracker. He spots more trackers going in different directions, and Batwoman stops the nearest source, coming from a sports car. A man is in and begs Batwoman not to hurt him. They open the trunk and finds Alice having left a taunting note on the trunk lid, written in her blood. Batwoman figures that Alice is spilling her blood, with the nanobots in it, to put them off of her trail. The note mentions Mary, and Batwoman realizes that Mary is with Alice.
Mary and Alice rob a hospital to get the transfusion equipment, then go back to the RV. Mary warns that Alice can only receive O Negative blood since that's her blood type. They go to a bar and hit on one man, and the two women say that O Negative blood is a big turn-on to women. The man quickly leaves, and the bartender tells the women to stop freaking out the customers. She orders them out, but Mary takes mental control of her with Poison Ivy's mind-control pheromones and makes her let them stay.
Alice realizes what has happened and tells Mary. Mary wonders how Poison Ivy can manifest at night time, and Alice tells her to try it again. When Mary tells the bartender to give them shots, it works. Mary is shocked about not feeling bad, and Alice hands her a drink and welcomes her to the dark side.
Luke figures that when the cells in Alice's blood die from being outside of her body, the nanobots will also shut down. Sophie warns that if Mary goes full-blown Poison Ivy, the mayor has ordered extreme measures. Batwoman realizes that Sophie learned from Renee what the police plan to do when she was with her the previous night, and Batwoman isn't thrilled that Sophie is sleeping with the woman who is blackmailing Batwoman. Luke says that the cure is almost ready, and Batwoman and Sophie get back into the Batmobile and drive off.
In the lab, Jada watches Marquis as he wakes up as the scientists start freezing him. He wonders why they're doing it, and Jada tells her son that he hasn't been the same since Joker attacked him. Marquis tells his mother that he's sorry for everything and loves her, and Jada tells him that she also loves him. She asks Marquis to trust her, and says that when he wakes up he's going to be her Marquis again. When Jada kisses Marquis on the forehead, he breaks the cold-brittle manacles holding him, chokes Jada with an IV cord, and tells the scientists to back off or he'll kill Jada. One of the scientists comes at Marquis anyway with a syringe of sedative. Marquis knocks him out and tells Jada that he's taking initiative like she taught him.
Ryan and Sophie come to the lab and find Jada unconscious on the floor. Jada wakes up and tells them that Marquis escaped. She tells Ryan that Marquis went looking for her.
Luke is in the office making himself a drink when Marquis comes in. Marquis asks where Ryan is, and Luke triggers a hidden alarm. After Marquis talks about how Lucius used to come by his house to meet with Jada, a security guard comes in response to the alarm and asks Luke if there's a problem. Luke tells the guard to escort Marquis out, and Marquis jams Lucius' pen into the guard's throat, killing him. When Luke punches Marquis, Marquis shrugs off the blow and Luke renews his attack. Marquis easily beats Luke and kicks him unconscious.
At the bar, Mary checks a man's blood type. She uses Poison Ivy's pheromone to control him into cooperating, and finds out he has the wrong blood type. Mary tells him he has a rare blood type and should consider donating blood, and he runs off to do so. Alice brings over another man, and Mary controls his mind, checks his blood, and confirms he has the right blood type.
At the lab, Jada tells Sophie that Tuva has created an antidote and is sure if it will work. Jada says that she always keeps her promises, and takes Ryan to the freezer where Tuva kept the antidote. They find Tuva stabbed to death by Marquis.
Ryan arrives at the office and finds Luke unconscious. Marquis steps out and says that Luke is still alive but the guard is another story. Ryan says that she's the one who betrayed him so Marquis should attack him. Marquis just laughs and says that he doesn't care that Ryan betrayed him. He says that Ryan fell for his story because she's desperate for a family. Marquis tells Ryan that Jada told him about Mary, and shows he has the vial of antidote. He figures that it's important since Ryan sold out her own brother for it, and figures that it's time-sensitive since Tuva had a sunrise deadline.
Jada asks Marquis what his price is to hand the antidote over. Marquis says that he wants Ryan to resign as CEO of Wayne Enterprises, and all of her stock options. Ryan figures that Marquis is plotting a hostile takeover, and he admits that he is. She reluctantly signs the resignation letter that Marquis has prepared, and says that she wishes she had known the real Marquis before Joker destroyed him. Marquis takes the paper and walks out. As he goes, he tosses the vial to Ryan.
Later, Batwoman drives along the highway with the antidote, and tells Luke that she needs to know where Mary is. Sophie and Luke are at the clinic, and Sophie is patching up Luke's injuries. Luke tells Batwoman that Mary hasn't used her credit cards so he has no way to track her. Only four of the trackers on Alice are still online, meaning Batwoman has a one in four chance of picking the right one.
After Batwoman signs off, Luke tells Sophie that Mary would say that things can't heal unless the injured lets them. Luke admits that he pushed Mary away when she tried to help him, because he always assumed she'd be there. Sophie says that she took her eyes off of Alice to be with Renee, and tells Luke that she and Renee don't even have a thing. Luke figures Mary will need coffee, and he tracks her rewards cards for a GC Jitters outside of Metropolis two hours ago. The nearest tracker is at the bar.
Mary drains the blood from the main and goes back to the RV where Alice is waiting. Mary remembers when Alice put Desert Rose in her mother's blood so she had to choose between saving herself or Mary. She says that she once wanted Alice to be out of her life, and she could kill her during the transfusion. Alice says that Mary could complete the transfusion and then she'll be out of Mary's life. Mary says that's what she's afraid of, and Alice figures that Mary doesn't want to be alone and sympathizes. She assures Mary that she'll stay with her, and hasn't left, doubted, or ignored Mary. Alice asks Mary if she wants to be alone, or wants help from the only family she has left.
Jada is at the lab, and gets a call from Marquis. She answers and Marquis says that he's behind her. She turns but he isn't there, and he tells her to turn on her TV at 9 am the next morning and he'll make her proud.
In the RV bar, Mary does the transfusion. Alice says that she's glad Mary is there, and Kate would never have done it. Mary says that Kate wouldn't have let her do anything, and Alice believes she's capable of doing more than what everyone else believes she can do. A policeman bangs on the door of the stolen vehicle and tells them to come out, and Mary points out that she can't use her pheromone powers over a job.
Alice starts up the RV and runs over the policeman. Mary goes to him and confirms that the wheels didn't go over him, and she should get him to the hospital. Alice says that they should just flee, and Mary apologizes for her old self and they go back to the RV.
Alice drives off, but the RV stops when Batwoman snags it with a line from the Batmobile. When Alice and Mary come out, Batwoman tells Mary that the antidote will stop her infection. Alice points out that Mary can go back to being ignores by Ryan and Luke. Batwoman says that they tracked Mary through her Jitters points, and it's the kind of thing best friends know about each other. She tells Mary that Mary was the first person who believed in her.
Mary says that she doesn't want to end up in Arkham, and Batwoman tells her that it doesn't have to be that way. When Mary asks Batwoman what she'll do to her if she doesn't take the cure, Batwoman admits that they'll have to confine her until they figure something else out,. Mary says that she doesn't want to be saved, and Batwoman isn't listening to her. She has vines grow up out of the highway and grab Batwoman, and one of them tightens around Batwoman's hand, crushing the vial.
Mary says that it's time for her to come out of Batwoman's shadow and into her own sunlight. More vines wrap around Batwoman, and Alice frees the RV from the Batmobile's line and drives off with Mary.
The next day, Mary meets with Sophie and tells her that they've lost Mary, and Mary has given up on them.
Mary drives the RV down the highway while Alice sleeps. The sun rises and Poison Ivy takes over Mary entirely.
Dana Dewitt is doing a broadcast about Ryan's resignation, from Wayne Tower. Luke and Sophie are at the clinic, watching the broadcast on the TV. Ryan joins them and Luke tells her that they've been locked out of Wayne Tower and he barely initiated a lockdown on the Batcave so Marquis wouldn't discover it. He warns that they're not getting in, and all they have is the Batsuit and the Batmobile. Ryan says that she traded away the Wayne legacy for nothing, and Luke assures her that she did it for Mary and that's not nothing.
The reporters assemble in Marquis's new office. He greets the citizens of Gotham as the new leader in business. Jada is watching on the TV, as Marquis promises that he's going that people will have a whole lot of fun, and his main mission is to put a smile on everyone's face.
Alice and Mary are in a hotel room. While Alice nurses a hangover, Mary emerges from the bathroom in her Poison Ivy costume. Alice says that Mary's debut deserves more than a roadside greasy spoon. Mary doesn't care what they do as long as it's fun, sees Marquis on the TV, and says that he looks like fun.
