Kell on Earth is based on Kelly Cutrone's fashion public relations firm which handles fashion shows in New York City and London and maybe elsewhere. You can tell that Kelly Cutrone knows the business even though she dresses more like me than the fashion models. She admits to her shortcoming as not being easily photographed. I have the same issue but she comes across as real in the series. Her PR firm is called People's Revolution and it's based in Soho, New York City. She shares the spotlight with partners, Robin and Emily. They have assistants and there is interns who can't fold jeans properly with tissue paper or print labels on the computer for the fashion press. Kelly can lose control one minute and be a surrogate mother in the next minute to her staff. She educates them about the fashion industry especially how they can get ripped off and the fashion divas (male or female) are upset by the outcome in some circumstances and does not supply payment which is an embarrassment on a reality show. Kelly treats her employees like family at times and as employees. She is a lot more generous than most employees although they all work long hours and spend too much time at their computer or on the phones but that's the nature of the beast.
