The storied history of an American cultural phenomenon: Blue Jeans
bettycjung28 August 2017
This is the way a documentary should be made! For such an iconic symbol of what America is all about, this documentary covered it all in an entertaining way. Jeans are not just an item of clothing, it is symbolic of the working man (blue collar) and the values s/he embodies in the work they do. They are the hard working men and women who wear jeans on and off the workplace, whether it is a farm, a factory, whatever. That it eventually became a fashion icon of foreign clothes designers (I loved all those old jean commercials) should tell you the durability of its place in pop history. You are never out of place if you wear jeans, although it can cost you anywhere from $5.00 when it on sale at Walmart, or hundreds and even thousands of dollars with a designer label, it remains the most recognizable symbol of the U.S. Worth catching.

Very well made, informative, entertaining. Just how documentaries should be.

Coincidentaly seen a movie starting on national TV, so i gave it a try and didn't turn away from it from a second. It's a great ride full of surprises and much more than just a jeans movie. I don't exaggerate if i say it's the documentary that contains the whole history of a modern world. From decadence of Studio 54 to discipline of Bruce Lee, from Socialism to modern Japan, from technical details to ecological disasters.
