The pharmaceutical rep hands Jackie the same box of pills three times.
The drug company rep states that capsaicin "treats neuropathic pain better than any barbiturate in its class." Capsaicin is not in the same chemical class as barbiturates, and would only be effective for short-term pain relief if applied topically, not ingested like Jackie does. Besides, why would a drug company rep be pitching an over-the-counter supplement derived from cayenne peppers?
