When Father Gorman is killed at the beginning of the film, his blood is spattered all over the Westburn Street sign. In the flashback of the same scene at the end revealing the murderer, there is no blood.
When Inspector Lejeune is speaking to the Pathologist he says that the lining of Father Gorman's cassock was ripped. However Father Gorman was not wearing a cassock (a long black "frock"). He was wearing a conventional suit when he was attacked. No, he was wearing the cassock. He's in a large overcoat most of the time, but you can clearly see the cassock when he's taking confession from the dying woman.
Unless I am very much mistaken, the Inspector claimed he was ground-crew for Mr Easterbrook, who flew Lancaster bombers for 317 squadron: if so that is something of a goof, because 317 squadron flew fighters and was crewed by air-crew and ground-crew from Poland. The inspector actually said 617 squadron, which was a Lancaster squadron set up for the Dambusters operation.
