It is notable that the clones of Zod and Faora were able to conceive a child since it was stated by Faora in "Bloodline" that she and the original Zod were not able to have children, leading them to create Davis Bloome.
Shocking a heart could result in asystolic arrest but more than likely wouldn't do anything other than cause serious burns unless very high voltage was used. Atropine does not reverse asystole even if given as an intracardiac injection. Pulling out the needle from an intracardiac injection would either a) cause a massive pericardial effusion and/or b) cause a cardiac dysrhythmia from myocardial injury from the wound itself.
If Chloe wanted to fool the device in Tess, putting her into ventricular fibrillation would accomplish the same goal and allow (potential) correction with defibrillation. Alternatively, adenosine will cause a transient cessation of electrical activity and mimic death for a few seconds. Either of those would be more plausible or could potentially work.

When Zod crouches over Faora's stomach, Faora can be seen moving her eyelids.
