Terrible

Warning: Spoilers
This four part mini series is not worth the ten minutes it took to watch. It is awful, and does not do any justice to the actual show. If I had seen this first, I never would have watched the show. Don't waste your time. The quality is terrible, the story line doesn't fit the actual show, because Stefan wasn't a ripper right before the story started, he wouldn't have hurt her right before moving back to Mystic Falls. Maybe if they had gone with Damon instead, it would have worked, but it is not well written either.

A teaser that would not really get me curious

Warning: Spoilers
"The Vampire Diaries: A Darker Truth" is a 4-part mini-series that was used to make people curious about the (then) new television show "The Vampire Diaries". It is from 2009, so already 7 years old now. We follow a young male who realizes his sister was killed by a vampire. But honestly, if you get that, why would you go alone into a vampire's house? Do you really believe garlic can save you? Oh well, maybe then you deserve what is coming your way. Anyway, there are moments in here that are solid, but the entire approach of how the character tells us everything about himself, why hes does what he does and stuff like that is not really working. One example would be when he says in the end that he did not open that window. Never ever would you say that in this situation. He is basically just talking to the audience and it feels very badly arranged, But having seen some of the "Vampire Diaries" episodes, I must say it is on par with the weak quality of the series. The good thing is that this mini-series here only runs for 8 minuets as each episode is only 2 minutes long. The best thing about it (besides the solid atmospheric approach) and the only somewhat good aspect is how quickly it ends. Thumbs-down from me. Not recommended.

Saying that is bad doesn't even cover

This is as bad as bad can get, it's not even funny as a joke. I think who ever wrote this fan fiction thing wasn't even a fan, didn't even watch The Vampire Diaries. And to put a fake cherry on top of a rotten cake the guy is in desperate need of acting lessons, not that I believe it would do him any good. Please everybody involved in this, do not ever touch a camera, write, act or do anything in this field, EVER!! Do not insult people and a beautiful show by associating yourself with it.
