Nayeem Diaries, A fictional account of ganster Nayeem, told with almost new faces. It's finally a very good Gangster drama and action thriller with good screenplay and realistic treatment.
It's a work based on a real life gangster Mohammad Nayeemuddin who rose from a Maoist to a police informer to a dreaded gangster, raised to thousands of crores, finally killed in an alleged police encounter. It's a fictional story based on life of gangster Nayeem.
Performances:
All the actors did well. Vasista Simha as Nayeem fitted the bill perfectly. And, other highlights are the actors who played the character of SK by Sasikumar Rajendran, Bahubali Nikhil in Nayeem Child episodes, Nayeem sister by Yagna Shetty and Nayeem's love interest played by Samyukta. On whole, We see no actors - only characters on screen, that's the best part.
Technicalities:
Production values of the film are impressive.
Photography that made the locations a character of the story is natural and good.

Direction:
Daamu Balaji, with strong writer backdrop, also given the script for RGV's Killing veerappan, his writing is the main strength of the movie. He is in complete form with his screenplay, dialogue and direction. He justified the subject he has taken successfully.
Finally, the Movie is fresh and highly satisfying for the audience who prefer serious movies.
If you want to spend your weekend in a meaningful way, go for it.
