Why can't we be friends

Warning: Spoilers
I was thinking of the classic hit, Why can't we be friends (I first heard it in Lethal Weapon, not sure which one though) and here Homer Simpson is buddies with Chief Wiggum after Homer is sentenced to community service. His reaction to being sentenced to community service reminded me, and I wonder if it was the inspiration to, the Nicole Kidman character in Paddington (the movie). Such is the impact of The Simpsons I guess.

Anyway, the subplot is decent, with Marge thinking Bart is addicted to drugs. I laughed out loud at the end when Marge thought the rabbit was a stuffed toy in Bart's bedroom.

Really Loved the New Friendship Between Homer and Chief Wiggum,
lesleyharris3030 September 2010
Chief of Hearts is a fantastic Simpsons episode with a well written storyline and a ton of very funny scenes. My favourite part of this episode was,of course, the newfound friendship between Homer and Chief Wiggum, they are without a doubt the stupidest but also two of the funniest characters on the show, seeing the two of them become friends and eventually go on an adventure together was a lot of fun,I hope to see Homer and Wiggum episodes again in the future, some of the pictures they show at the end (particularily the one with Sideshow Bob) would easily make great episodes.I also enjoyed the side story as we see Bart get interest in a new toy trend that Marge confuses for drugs.Funny and also heartwarming,Chief of Hearts is a really great Simpsons episode.

After getting in trouble with the law,Homer and Chief Wiggum start to become best friends.

Very good!

This is my favorite Simpsons episode. Pairing Homer and Clancy together is my favorite pairing to see as well. A bit similar to "The Fat Blue Line". It really shows Chief Wiggum's insecurity and just wanting a friend, which is something we usually don't see as he is shown as the dumb cop stereotype very often. Very heartwarming, very worth the time. Homer and Wiggum make a great pairing, I'd love to see them together more often.
