Aaaaargh! Autotune alert (but still loved it)!
helenandbrian8 February 2011
As ever, I am torn about Glee. While it is perhaps a guilty secret of mine, I am something of a Gleek and don't want to miss an episode, but... the Autotune in this second series seems to have got ever more intrusive.

The cast are mostly respected Broadway professional who know how to sing, yet they Autotune their performances to oblivion. It isn't even subtle.

Saying that, Sweet Transvestite last night just went to show how Amber Riley/Mercedes is far and away the best singer on the show (and not coincidentally, the one cast member who suffers the least from the dreaded Autotune).

What a subtle, but not so subtle at the same time, Halloween episode!

"The Rocky Horror Glee Show" is a fabulous tribute episode of "Glee"

Wow, this was a very awesome episode of "Glee" with all the tributes to the musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I mean, Barry Bostwick and Meat Loaf Aday play the new station managers who want Sue to expose the Ohio town they all live in as something that's gone in a far-from-traditional direction. So Sue lets Will put on this risky show for his kids just so she gets a chance at an Emmy (though her portrayer Jane Lynch already has one for this role). Not everyone's comfortable with it such as Finn who's shy about showing his body naked with just shorts especially compared with Sam who has great abs for eating the right things. Oh, and the reason Will wants to put on this show is because Emma saw it with Carl at a midnight showing and has loosened up as a result...Loved all the musical numbers from the classic film that were included with my favorite being the "Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch Me" with Will and Emma in the foreground and Brittany and Santana in the back and how great to see it all end with "Let's Do the Time Warp Again" with Finn and Kurt sharing the lyrics that were all originally Riff Raff's (Kurt's role). Also liked Mercedes' take on being Frank-N-Furter as she performed "Sweet Transvestite". John Stamos was also great singing "Hot Patootie". In other words, what an all-around fabulous show...

Warning: Spoilers
This is probably the best episode in the history of Glee so far...

I couldn't help Time Warping at the end and singing "Sweet Transvestite" together with Mercedes.

When Finn sang "Damn It, Janet" I was one my feet dancing along with it trying to stay with it, Damn it..

What a great contribution to one of the best musicals ever made.

I replayed and replayed all the scenes from this episode and the one with Emma and Will was almost better than the original scene form the original movie.

Long Live The Rocky Horror Picture Show!!!!!

Definitely the worst episode

Will gets unbearable, i don't know why he thinks he knows anything about directing a musical. Also his rehearsal with Emma is also really hard to watch.

This is my least favourite episode of the show that I have seen. I would stop watching the show all together if isn't for me watching to see Blaine and the Warblers again as I love them and I love Klaine as a ship.

I used to watch this show when I was younger but that was some of season 1 on DVD and later seasons when they aired originally so I had seen this episode but now that I have, I'm so disappointed. The use of a transphobic slur that was said Mike made me very upset and uncomfortable and constant use of homophobic slurs in the show but particularly in this episode also make very uncomfortable too.

Worst Glee episode

I'm a huge fan of Rocky Horror, so I was excited when I first went to watch the episode. The episode is uncomfortable and the arrangements of the songs were not good. There were some weird rhythm and melody changes that were not for the best.
