- Oliver enjoys his new, public role since he outed himself as super-hero, yet misses Chloe desperately and feeling guilty. His example further inspires Clark to tell at least Lois, but just when they meet to that end an Egyptian jewel allows the Pharaonic goddess Isis to take possession of her body, eager to resuscitate her beloved Osiris, all required being at hand from a major exposition in Metropolis, but that would also revive his realm, hell, on earth. Tess, who is otherwise preoccupied with Lex's boy-clone Alexander, joins Oliver and Clark at Watchtower, where she proves herself able to fill in for Chloe IT-wise. Even with that invaluable research, Clark nearly perishes in his supernatural duel with Isis. Cat get caught in the fight and mistakenly believes Lois is the evil Blur.—KGF Vissers

Oliver and Clark reluctantly decide to ask Tess for help with Lois. Meanwhile, after Cat Grant witnesses Lois as Isis using her superpowers, she decides Lois is the Blur and sets out to prove it.—CW Publicity
- In Metropolis, Oliver is at the Met Museum with the curator, Adrianna, and figuring how to stage the Egyptian exhibit opening. Adrianna wants Oliver to soar in as Green Arrow, as long as he meets all of the insurance requirements. Tess comes in and comments on the name of the exhibit, "Isis: The Tale of Eternal Love." She figures that he hopes that Chloe will get the message, and wonders what he's up to. Oliver insists that the city has embraced him, but Tess reminds him that it isn't real love. He wonders if she knows what true love is. Adrianna returns and informs Oliver that the Amulet of Isis is missing, and there is a curse that will condemn the owner to an eternity in hell.
At her apartment above the Talon, Lois is trying on her Egyptian costume for the exhibition opening and rehearses ways to tell Clark that she knows his secret. As she goes, she tells herself that she'll be living in a brand-new world. She's unaware that the Amulet in her purse is glowing.
At LuthorCorp, Oliver makes a call to determine the Amulet never arrived in Cairo. Clark arrives and informs Oliver that he's going to tell Lois his secret, after seeing the future where Lois knows his secret. Oliver figures that Clark is there to talk him out of telling Lois, and tells Clark to do it. He admits that telling Lois his secret led to their breakup, but they weren't intended to be together.
At the Planet, Clark arrives to find Lois taking back her desk. They both hesitate and then start speaking, but Cat arrives with men bringing in her new desk. She's happy to be partnered with Clark, and says that she's working on the Amulet of Isis theft, and it went missing at a LuthorCorp dock. Clark says that he has a prior engagement for an interview on the roof and leaves. He goes, and Lois smiles as she realizes that he isn't interested in Cat. She goes to the roof and reaches into her pursue for her lipstick, and finds the Amulet. The sun's rays focus through the jewel and Lois is transformed. She dons the Amulet and walks to the edge of the roof as Clark comes out behind her. She tells him that she must locate the treasures of Isis. When Clark mentions Cat, Lois asks where Cat is and Clark says she's at the LuthorCorp dock, but there's something more important that she needs to know. He tells her that he's the Blur, but she says it is unimportant to her, and informs him that the body of Lois now serves as a vessel for Isis. She turns and flies off into the sky.
Clark goes to Watchtower and tries to contact Carter Hall, who is on sabbatical and out of contact. As Oliver arrives, Clark suggests that they get the help of one other person: Tess. Oliver objects, and explains that he canceled the gala. He has books with him and recites the myths of Isis. Oliver explains that Isis tried to recover the scattered pieces of Osiris, who she loved, but never found the burial jar containing Osiris' heart. To stop her, Set placed her soul in the Amulet. Clark concludes that if they find the burial jar, Isis will find them. However, Oliver warns that Osiris is the guardian of the underworld, and if he is brought back, it will unleash hell on Earth.
Cat is at the docks when Isis arrives and knocks out a security guard. She senses Osiris' presence and finds the crate with the burial jar. Cat emerges from the shadows and warns that she won't let Lois get away with another crime. As she prepares to take a photo, Isis summons a bolt of energy... and Clark arrives to whisk Cat to safety at a sidewalk café. However, when he returns, he discovers that Isis has left, taking the burial jar with her. As Clark speeds away, Isis watches him from the shadow.
At her office at the Planet, Tess meets with a psychologist who has examined Alexander. He warns that his intelligence is off the charts, and wants to move him to a facility for 24-hour monitoring. Tess agrees to have Alexander ready in the morning. Once the doctor leaves, Cat arrives and finds the photo of Alexander that Tess has with her. She tells Tess that she knows that Tess is the mother because of her worried look, but Tess insists that it isn't. Cat then tells Tess that she knows the identity of the Blur, and the Blur is hiding in the office, posing as a reporter. Tess tries to defuse her suspicions, but is surprised to learn that Cat thinks Lois is the Blur. When Tess bursts into laughter, Cat vows to bring Lois to justice.
Tess goes to see Oliver at LuthorCorp and confirms what's happening. He tries to get her out but Tess insists that she is there to protect Clark. As Clark arrives, Tess explains that she erased the surveillance footage. Clark thanks her and admits that he lost Lois. Tess is already ahead of them, and has confirmed that a sarcophagus at the museum contains the other parts of Osiris . . . and that she has an idea of how to restore Lois to normal. Oliver warns that he doesn't trust her, and that on their team, they don't keep secrets. Tess explains that Lex had a file of excavation sites that he erased, and she can reconstruct it. Clark agrees to let her help, and then leaves for the museum.
At the museum, Isis has placed the sarcophagus in position and prepares to reunite Osiris' heart with the rest of his body. However, she discovers that the sarcophagus contains nothing but dirt. Clark arrives and warns her that it is over, and she can't risk hell on Earth just for love. Isis tells Clark that he doesn't know love, and he explains that he loves Lois. She wonders if he would risk the world for Lois, and when he says he doesn't, insists that he doesn't know true love. Isis warns that she would risk anything to be with her lover for even a moment, and realizes that Clark holds himself back. She shoves him into the sarcophagus and summons mystic ropes to hold him inside. Clark tries to get through to her, but she insists that any sacrifice is worth bringing her love back.
Cat arrives at the Met Museum, figuring Lois will be looking for artifacts. She finds Isis animating Osiris' heart and preparing to sacrifice Clark, using a mystic dagger. Cat knocks over a vase and runs, and finds Green Arrow. He places her in a sarcophagus and goes to confront Isis. She admires his bravery but notes it belongs to a lonely warrior. Oliver prepares to shoot her, but Isis realizes that he won't harm Lois' body. He dives out of the way as she throws a fireball at him, and then says that Lex's files revealed that sunlight through the Amulet can trap her. Clark, listening, breaks free and grabs the urn. He tells her to release Lois in return for the jar's safety. Isis admits that she will be separated from her lover for all eternity, and then prepares to kill herself so that Clark cannot have his love. Oliver fires a crossbow dart and hits the Amulet, sending it into Clark's hand. Clark uses his heat vision, retrapping Isis and freeing Lois. She collapses and Clark catches her, and Lois looks up into his face.
The next day, Tess finds Oliver at Watchtower, and notes that he seems far away. He admits that she was right about turning into a caricature of himself, and Tess was one of the only people who would call him on it. Tess points out that Chloe would have done it too, and Oliver admits that he misses her. When Tess realizes that he loves Chloe, Oliver admits that she can recognize love, and Tess admits that there hasn't been a lot of love in her life. Clark comes in and explains that they both called her in to recognize her efforts, and give her full access to Watchtower and membership on the team. Tess thanks them but then walks away, seemingly overwhelmed. Oliver wonders if they can trust her, and Clark says that they'll find out.
Tess goes to the manor and tells the doctor that Alexander is staying with her. She insists that Alexander needs to be loved, but the doctor warns that the boy could prove dangerous. When he wonders what she sees that he doesn't, Tess says she sees his heart. She goes inside and finds Alexander playing with Lex's toy soldiers. He has grown remarkably since he left the Cadmus facility, and she offers to read him Peter Pan, an adventure about growing up. As he sits on her lap, Alexander tells Tess that he loves her.
At the Planet, Cat grabs a pen and jabs it into Lois' hand, and is surprised to discover that she's vulnerable. Clark intervenes, but Cat insists that she has photographic proof. Clark destroys her camera at superspeed, and a smug Lois tells her that she needs to back up her evidence. Clark explains that Lois was possessed, but Cat doesn't believe it.
Clark pulls Lois away and tends to her wound, and she talks of how she knows the Blur. Lois says what she was rehearsing earlier, but then hesitates. Finally she brings herself to say that she knows Clark. Clark says she doesn't know the Blur, and that he's keeping it a secret to avoid putting her life at risk. Lois says that she wishes the Blur knew she was willing to take that risk, and then starts to go. Clark says that he's been afraid of losing people all his life if the learned his secret, but the risk of losing her made him realize that he wants them to be together, and she needs to know the truth. He tells her that he's the Blur. In response, Lois leaps into his arms and asks him what took so long, and Clark realizes that she knew already.
