When Professor Farnsworth finds plans to Leonardo Da Vinci's final invention he has no idea what it could be but is determined to find out. To this end he studies Da Vinci's painting of The Last Supper and makes a startling discovery
Saint James was a robot! The crew head to Rome and find this ancient robot; it turns out he wasn't St. James, just the artist's model, but he does know of Leonardo's inventions. He lets slip some details of where Da Vinci's inventions are and the Professor pieces the clues together and they find one of his inventions that turns out to be a spacecraft. This takes Fry and the Professor to a distant planet where they meet the actual Leonardo Da Vinci; it turns out that on this planet of intellectuals he is considered a bit thick but with the plans to his invention returned he may finally get a chance to get his revenge on those who mocked him.
While this isn't a classic episode it has plenty of good laughs. It opens particularly well with Fry appearing on 'Who Dares to be a Millionaire', hosted by Morbo, and doing fantastically badly. The main story is decent enough if more silly than funny in places. It does at least come to a good conclusion when we see Da Vinci's final invention as well as learning that he is a rather petty individual. Overall an okay episode but not particularly memorable.
