Heart of Gold

This episode shows a side of Eli Gold we rarely get to see. Whether his motivation was his conscience, guilt or genuine feelings for Natalie Flores (America Ferrera) may be unclear but he went above and beyond with the initial intention of not receiving credit for his act of chivalry. I like it when Eli let's his better side come out to play. It is hard to reconcile this Eli with the one of the previous episode who decided to "White up" his candidates image. Alan Cumming is a very talented actor and he nails the nuances of the many layers and faces of Eli Gold.

In other story lines, it was nice to see the firm take on a case that resulted in some actual justice being served. Again, a stark contrast to the previous episode.

Finally can I just say I am loving season 2 Cary - who would have thought!

Warning: Spoilers
Episode 18: An average to semi-good episode with some matters of interest in it, centered on procedural issues in the court mostly, surrounding moving-forward plots & sub-plots with good acting again by Alan Cumming and a generic family ending centered around dinner!

This Episode: Sing You Sinner **1/2

Warning: Spoilers
Too much interacting here and there also seems to be a lack of cohesiveness.

Eli Gold really seems to take command here as we see him use political power to get someone out of jail and there are constant discussions with his daughter in this episode.

Kalinda has plenty to be afraid of. Blake knows what she and the Chris Noth character did, but Alisha still doesn't know.

The episode shows how someone who claims to have been a model prisoner can manipulate the system. Shame.

Couldn't it have been determined years earlier that this killer was involved in the other murder? Did he literally have to start singing to give it all away?
