SERIOUSLY WHAT'S WITH BAD REVIEW

Sudeikis is HILARIOUS! I laughed so hard through this episode. Absolutely Love Jason. Thinking about Horrible Bosses being one of my favorite comedies it was THE PERFECT choice having Suds as Schmitty aka Anti-Charlie.

Schmitty is hilarious

Warning: Spoilers
S6 has some of the best and the worst parts of Isiap . Schmitty is one of the best side characters in the whole show, if not the best. Him being better than / too good for the gang in every way and socially dominating charlie, resulting in them rejecting him with hostility and repeating their past behavioral patterns, its too funny and one of my favorite parts of the series. Dee's side story and the follow up episode are boring / worst parts of s6.

Unfunny and generic

My overall rating of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"'s Season 6: 6/10

I've generally liked this season of the show, but its score has certainly been weighed down for me by this episode and the Christmas special. This episode's problem is just how boring and generic it feels: a new character appears who (re-)joins the gang, but then manages to put them off by breaking with their childish traditions and being better at things they pride themselves on. Meanwhile, Dee becomes passionate about something and is put off by her former teacher becoming incredibly cynical. These plotlines have been seen before in other works, sitcoms and more, and few jokes really land. The follow-up epsiode is, surpisingly, much better, probably because it actually does something truly creative with the series. This one, however, is a big waste of time (well, a brief waste of time, compared with the Christmas special).
