Warning: Spoilers
This is the continuation of the two part installment that started with "Airport 2010". The family arrives at the Four Seasons resort in Maui to spend the family vacation. Phil, who did not have a proper honeymoon with Claire, picks her in his arms, but she is too embarrassed by him. While Jay only wants to relax, Cam and Mitchell decide to make this a way to discover the island with all its interesting sites.

Manny and Luke are sharing their own room. While Luke wants to play and be himself, fussy Manny is only interested in how he wants to dress. Manny is appalled by Luke's sloppiness. He does not enjoy sharing the room with his 'step-nephew'. Manny is thinking of girls and how he is going to get to the little ladies.

Gloria points out to Jay the way he is eating the wrong kinds of things. She reminds him he must watch his diet by eating fruits and salads. Phil cannot stop taking his eyes from Gloria in a revealing bikini. Claire also notices her husband's paying attention to her step-mother. Haley, who cannot stop talking on the cell phone is told to cut it out by her father. In an act of desperation, Phil throws the phone in the pool.

Cam has just had it. He does not want to go on another tour of Maui, even if it is to the lavender fields. He decides to stay by the pool with Lily. Later on, as the two men get out of the elevator, they forget Lily, who keeps going up and down unclaimed until Gloria gets her out as the two hysterical fathers are looking frantically all over the hotel.

Haley asks permission to go to a nearby hotel with some kids she met. She comes back sick to her stomach from the drinks some of her friends bought. Claire must deal with the situation. Jay, who has been on a healthy kick, injures his back and cannot get out of the hammock in the garden. Phil sees him, but falls on top of his father-in-law. Jay begs him not to move because of the pain. People go by and watch the two men in the hammock.

Finally, Phil is taking Claire out. As they come out into the garden area, they are surprised in finding a makeshift altar and flowers strewn all over the grass. Jay has prepared the surprise as the two renew their vows to one another in a Hawaiian setting.

Steven Levitan, one of the creators of the sitcom, directed the episode. The screenplay is by Brad Walsh and Paul Corrigan. This was a funny chapter in the lives of the three families as they enjoy themselves in beautiful Maui.

Seaseon 1 ep 23 Review

Warning: Spoilers
This episode featuring a soaking wet Sofía Vergara getting out of a pool. Need I go on?

Apparently so, because IMDB's character limit is 600. I guess I have to write an actual review. The scenes involving the adults are simultaneously hilarious and heartwarming. The subplots involving the kids are very underdeveloped, but try to act like they have actual character development and emotional moments. This episode is also a continuation of the previous airport episode, but none of the plots from that episode are carried over into this one, for whatever reason. I guess it would make for easier viewing for people who missed the previous episode. Even though it has problems, it also has a scene with a very wet Sofía Vergara, which balances out the not so good parts.

10/10.

Warning: Spoilers
Gloria in a bikini alone makes this an amazing 10/10 of a classic. That was the whole review but I have to get this review to a specific number of characters so I'll just type random stuff that kind of correlates but not really. One of the people who created this show is called and named Christopher Lloyd but it's not the Back To The Future Doc Brown Christopher Lloyd but is an entirely different Christopher Lloyd. This is episode 23 and has the production code of 1ARG23 which means it was produced as episode 23 and is a follow up to Airplane 2010 which is episode 22 but has the production code of 1ARG19 which means that it was produced as episode 19!
