Exclusive to Indiewire is the trailer for "Deep Dark Canyon," a film by Silver Tree and Abe Levy (which, in fact, Tree directed while she was eight months pregnant) set to open in Los Angeles on October 19. The film, about two brothers who get in trouble for killing the mayor of a rural American town in a hunting accident, stars Nick Eversman ("Gladiator") and Spencer Treat (ABC's "Missing") as the brothers. Things get a little murkier because their father (Ted Levine ("Silence of the Lambs") is the town's sheriff. When the town comes after them, the two flee, and the mayor's family and the town's deputy sheriff ("Freaks and Geeks"' Martin Starr) must try to find them.
