The dinner party scene is possibly the funniest scene of any TV show you'll see in 2010. This episode was a perfect peach of pathos, contemporary issues, and lighthearted humor complete with an opening musical number dream, which they've done before, but which I think should be their standard way to open the show because it's always top-notch sexy and hilarious. One problem with the episode (NOT A SPOILER!) was that the case of the married transman would have been the perfect launching pad for an eventual Supreme Court case to challenge Prop 8 (they were married as man and wife, so how could Prop 8 retroactively invalidate their marriage now that the husband has become a man? That's clearly unconstitutional), which any lawyer would have jumped at, and which also could have created tensions at the office with Parker wanting Grayson and Kim to resolve the case in a way that would prevent Supreme Court appeal, and THEN they could have resolved it the way they did. It didn't seem realistic that they wouldn't attempt to go for a broader argument since it could help their legal careers and make them more high-profile, but this complaint is a small one.
